Dudes, chill.
It was the same on PvZ after Roach 4 range.
Protoss tried to adapt as good as they could, throwing down stargates with void rays etc.

Let's see how it plays out.

Hm.

I just realised something...

..If every protoss player from now does their best to lose more than usual in all their matchups, then we might actually be able to convince Blizzard to keep the one (potential) buff that protoss have gotten in a while..


I got to lose me some PvZs! =O

Don't really get the fungal growth change. Doesn't really matter to me much I didn't use it as AA much in the first place, but it just seems... unnecessary. What great imbalance did fungal growth create in air?

A lot of these changes seem like things that didn't really much matter. Flux vanes? Did someone just find a way to abuse the hell out of them? Honestly I'm glad it's gone though, always made me think of some "Mr. Nuclear-esque" purple/blue-glowing radioactive phallus.

Ironic statements good when they are at right time. Fungal was the only thing, which was good and reasonable vs mass air of protoss or terran

Everytime there is a patch, people are whining. It just doesn't matter what is patched or nerfed. When Terran got nerfed twice, so many Terrans started whine-threads. I am a Terran player and I didn't like Terran nerfes. But I accepted them and I'm fine with the game now.
After every patch the game changed. New strategies were invented and that will also happen after this patch. Before complaining you should wait a few weeks, see tournament results and try to think about new strategies and adaptions.
Just ahead of time, know your addiction's not a crime. It's just a smaller part of who you want to become in the end.

I think void rays got shafted with the patch and I hope they reinstate Flux Vanes.

Like, protoss were just barely learning how to incorporate void rays as situational support units, but it will be so hard to keep them alive late game without the speed upgrade.

What's up with all those agressive comments towards zerg players. It's normal for players to be curious about the changes. I'm not the one to scream imba but saying "booohoo every other race has to deal with it" or "zerg late game is imba" is even worse. Stop bashing each other.

About the patch...many great features will be added so yeah that's cool. Infestor nerf is unfortunate. Overall I'm really looking forward to it. I find playing against pheonix heavy play annoying so I think I'm gonna have a hard time when the patch comes live. Hope they get PTR up on EU as well so we can test it as it looks like it's going to be up almost whole month.

I'm happy chat channels are implemented, but what about the clan system?

Concerning the patch, its a bit early to tell. I'm not convinced by the fungal change, if they wanted to promote the void ray (if this is the official goal), that wasnt the way to do it. The key hold nerf for larva production is stupid.

LOL. It's a patch test. So technically, nothing's been 'buffed' for certain yet. And with all the complaining Blizzards going to hear from Zerg/Terran players, I doubt it's going to be introduced live...

Because Zerg has won GSL 1, GSL 2, and GOM TV All Stars - the three biggest SC2 tournaments to date, and yet they still QQ when it is apparent there are balance issues that Blizzard is addressing in this patch. Heck, the patch isn't even going live - it's only on a test server but the QQ is already deafening.

How were you supposed to mass ANY kind of air against Zerg once Infestors were in play?

As a Terran, the second I saw Infestors I knew I would be unable to produce the following units in any quantity without having them get insta-pwned:

Raven
Banshee
Viking

Infestors were without a doubt the best AA in the game.

No, I said that because someone posted (I think Zelniq) that he had been told that blizzard nerfed fungal growth because they removed void ray speed. And it is a pitiful way to solve the problem.

Zergs no longer have anything that can counter mass phoenixes/viking or even mutas for that matter.
