Imagine you would have to stim every marine individually using repeating stimpack hotkey.
Great idea, right ? That's how would it feel for zerg to remax after 1.2. Zerg is design-wise race using mass of cost innefectivue units that's why this change affect them the most.

Zerg antiair units such as hydra or queen are slowest. You ignore this fact and compare antiair capabilities of zerg to superb stimmed DPSrines, AOE thors, fast blinkable stalkers and AOE storms.

Zerg will be only race withour AOE antiair !

How is removing mid game posibilities good for game ? How is forcing zergs to play muta against T every game good for spectators and E-sport growth ? Failed patch.

Nothing is ever as simple as you're making it out to be. PDD stops 20 shots and 20 shots only.

And plus SC2 is a game of TIMING more than anything. Maybe you could just go kill the Terran before he gets his cute units, or force him to use his spells defensive instead, etc.

I'll take a step back and moderate my statement, then.

Mass terran air with a few ravens is pretty much unbeatable for zerg if they can't even tech to infestors as a soft counter. This has been my experience.

It boils down to the fact that banshees + marines fight very efficiently to begin with, let alone when you can't even hit the banshees for most of the battle.

When is the patch going to be implemented? I know they're still testing, but when will Blizzard make irreversible decisions?

I like the Protoss changes (I honestly don' give a fart abut flux vanes), I don't like the Fungal thing, I don't like the bunker thing.

Infestors are very gas heavy and therefore it is always difficult to have Spire+Pit or Den+Pit, they are usually in low numbers unless you are going for the unstable ling+infestor+ultra and they're very vulnerable. I don't think they are OP at all. I suppose they do this to see how good can be neural parasite and infested terran. And of course zvz is going to be the equivalent of Colossi versus colossi.
Q. You've been criticized for using cheesy builds in the past, but now people are saying that you've played some good games today. A. I'm glad that they think that way, but that won't stop me from using cheesy builds.(oGsHyperdub)

Agreed.

Has it even been a single day of testing yet for this patch? 24 hours passed by yet?

And it's not even a global patch. Just a test region - there's a reason for that.

Trust in Blizzard a little more people, for crying out loud.

Every zerg goes mutas against TERRAN ANYWAY. If not it's a fking awfull zerg.

Zerg will be only race withour AOE antiair !

When you consider zerg QQ on TL, remember that like 60% of the posters here are zerg. That's why they thought SC2 was very balanced prior to this patch.

These changes are bad simply on the basis of being too drastic. Though the game might not be as balanced as it could be the imbalances that do exist aren't apparent right now.

Exactly. The QQ from Z theory crafters is just ridiculous. The patch is being tested in North America first - it is far from going live. Blizzard may reverse their decision if the balance is that badly affected in testing.

If this is the Z QQ for the test server, I can't even imagine what will happen if it is confirmed to go live.

For what it's worth, I have always struggled against 2-port terran pushes unless I got infestors and this trend has only continued with infestors removed as a solution.

It's less theorycrafting, more "in my direct experience this situation is borderline unwinnable without fungal growth."

Lol, fellow zergs, don't complain about repeating keys. Other races have to do it to, it's good to improve your RSI :-)
Really don't care about it, I repeatedly hit the buttons to produce units anyway. keeps me fast and active.

But if you REALLLLY don't want this change, then adjust the settings of your gamer-keyboard to interpret "holding" of keys as seperate key presses.

Without a doubt, the biggest balance change is the removal of the speed upgrade from void rays. This REALLY changes things. Sure, no air fungal is big, but has no one realized the benefits of only having to deal with slow VR's now? Marines/stim/medics will own VRs even harder now.

Quoted for truth. How many crazy patches have been adapted to by amazing players in the short life-span of Starcraft 2? And how many amazing strategies/timings/plays have we seen from the UP/OP race in every tournament since retail hit the stores?

The best players learn to adapt, whatever their conditions.

Perhaps final judgements should be reserved for whatever solutions mature from this and subsequent patches a week or two or three from now?

Ok, fungal doesn't hit air. I'm ok with that if storm doesn't hit air also...Other races has Aoe damage vs air and zerg doesn't.
