You were right, definitely a bug. It turns out that it wasn't removing the income from a MULE when it dies. Not sure how this got missed until now. Anyway, here's the new build order for 100 marines off one base:

I've released a new version (first in almost a year) with these changes and the changes for the current patch. I've also updated the initial build order to handle the "count *" notation.

Long story, but basically I used to have a PayPal donation button set up, but PayPal Australia decided that a donate button means you must be a registered charity, so they shut down my account for about 18 months before I was able to sort it out and get it released.

There is still some kind of error in latest version:

-7rax with 20 marines at 5:35 is definitely not possible

-resources spent exceed resources mined: 29 marines and SCVs = 1450 minerals, 7 rax including lost mining time = 1400, 3 supply depos including mining time = 360, unspent resources = 292 which is 3502 total

-minerals mined is reported as 2592, which is correct in my opinion

The only issue actually seems to be that it's counting more barracks towards the waypoint that it should. You've only built 4 barracks, so that plus the 3 supply depots is only 900 minerals, plus the 1450 makes 2350 spent, out of 2592 mined + 50 that you start with. Seems like it's double counting flying barracks. I'll have to look into it...

You are right, I was only paying attention to the right side column where it shows 7 rax. And counting lost mining time as spent resources is obviously incorrect. BTW thank you for working on this tool

Yep, it was double counting morphing buildings. I've released version 1.17 to fix this and to include the 2.1.2 BU changes (basically just removing Transformation Servos).

Hello,
It seems that there is a bug when using custom initial build order (WoL, Zerg).

For example I want to get 9 roaches fast with a decent economy (2 bases, 20 drones, etc.).
If I specify just that as a target - it works, but the proposed build order is cumbersome, I don't like its beginning (weak and weird).

So I wanted to specify a beginning like this (initial build order set to custom and the following text entered):

Extractor Trick Drone

Then, in the target tab I specify:


Min time: 7:00 (just to test, I know it's possible to do it by 7:00)

Extractor: >= 2 (my experience shows that I need 2 extractors if I wanna go mass roaches)
Drone: >= 19
Queen: >= 1
Roach: >= 9


Then I press Start and it doesn't find a solution. I tried several times, I waited for like 30.000.000 games, I tried different versions of the program, including the latest 1.17, etc.

Good program, very neat. It took me a while to figure out adding waypoints but now it is great.

One minor bug: (edited a bit)

Gas Mined doesn't seem to respond to modifiers.

I want/need 875 gas for my build. I tried setting gas mined at 875, =875, <=875, 875 to 900. And all the results still came up with about 1600 gas mined.

Good program. Saved me a lot of trouble with a stupid build I'm working on, many thanks :D

Oh and one suggestion. It might be useful to be able to disable lifting and landing buildings. It seems to do that for absolutely no reason.

Please explain how to use custom build order.
I want to do 15 Nexus First 16 Gateway, i tried a lot of things, always "cannot interpret initial build order". What's wrong with this?

I still don't quite figured out how to set constrains to a BO like "spawning pool not later than 16". The waypoint systems considers buildings done, but I want to have the pool beginning to morph at 16 (or earlier.)

I have been having so much fun with this program, it is really the best Starcraft tool ever.

Now, I have detected a couple of problems that make it impossible to follow the build orders precisely in the game. From what I can tell they have to do with the mining time lost in travel time of the workers.

1) I noticed that it is impossible to create the first pylon at 44.10sec (9/10). First because 100Minerals are not reached until 48sec and...

2)To avoid delays, one must send a worker in advance to the place of construction. But while the worker is traveling, it cannot mine. I do not think SCFusion takes this into account.

For 1) I think it has to do with the fact that the probes do not immediately start mining. In the actual game, they all go to a single patch and then spread out, this creates a delay that SCFusion is not accounting for (as far as I can tell). This could be fixed with an offset.

For 2), the solution is more difficult because every player builds their structures in different places, so accounting for worker travel time would be difficult. But if we could enter an offset parameter, an average travel time could be added. From this travel time, we can compute the amount of minerals not being mined and adjust production appropriately. This will properly shift the timings in the BO.

Now, these discrepancies do not seem to be much, but perhaps they are. Every structure built introduces a delay due to the lack of mining from the worker, and each delay adds up, so as you go down the build order, the total discrepancy gets larger. And it seems to be throwing off the timings from the BO.

Has anyone had success following an SCFusion BO to the exact timings quoted by the software?

So I just used this to make a TvP build, and sometimes it does some really obviously unnecessary things for no apparent reason. Like, it tells me to build a macro CC and then cut SCV production immediately for like 20 supply. I actually end up floating a pretty big amount of minerals that could be used to make SCVs, but it just... doesn't. It works out in the end with all the units and upgrades I need at the right time, but I end up with a stagnant economy. I ran it until >90% certainty, too. I fixed it by telling it to make a minimum of like ~30 scvs, but it's still really strange. Is this because it's trying to achieve the highest amount of resources by the end of the build without regard to the additional units?

Other times, it decides the best way to get units out the fastest is to lift and land my barracks repeatedly. No idea what that's about, either. Otherwise, great job, it does work really well once you get the parameters set well enough to prevent something like that macro CC abomination.

you can set part goals and there is also an option to constantly build workers.
