P.S. I did try using the search button for the past 30 minutes but I just can't find a good answer; is there any legal way to assign mouse 4 and mouse 5 to "9" and "0" in Starcraft 2? I do not have a microsoft or Logitech mouse, and all of the third party programs aren't compatible with Starcraft 2 somehow : / Thanks in advance.
Pro's using "9" and "0" hotkeys?

I'm not sure about the whole pro-grammable mouse thing, but be careful as Blizzard seems to have a very strong stance against macros and such.

My left hand is in a "typing" position, you mean that some players put their hand in another position? So they rotate their hand across the keyboard to so some things and then move it back, it takes some practice, but it can help expand your hotkey usage. Also you can "kind of" attack from over there with "p" for patrol.

That's why with small hands 6 and 7 might actually be worse (farthest from control keys). Whoa whoa whoa, you can use the keypad for group number?!? omg this is gonna be so awesome!

PROBE. Basicaly, when the game start you'd put your nexus on 0 and than press "P" which was the short key. Do you see how close "P" and 9-0 are? so each time you'd make a Nexus it would just be easier for you to just press "P" from the later numbers. But I must agree that even today with SC2 I still use 9-0 to put upgrade buildings on. Basicaly when I want to do a melee, ranged or carapace upgrade I press "0" and when I have some skill upgrades to do I press on 9 and tab to the right building! ![]() Works well ![]()

![]() If your natural position is WASD on the left hand, then that's probably why you are having trouble - I played WOW, so I also had that problem.. Just get used to using the hotkeys further away, all it takes is practice
