For a long time I've been saying I'd give Blizzard the benefit of the doubt. They'd do right, even if not initially. They might not give us a perfect setup, but a usable one will still be in place. I have lost my faith. I will immediately be moving to a 3rd party server when a viable one is established.

Had they stopped for even one moment to listen to what their customers actually asked for and want, we'd have chat channels, group replays, the ability to play cross region, etc and not useless fucking facebook integration. Hey you stupid mother fuckers, if I wanted to invite the people from face book to play SC2 with me, I'd just do that as if I was a normal human being, by asking them. Obviously I have a way to get in touch with them, and if they fucking like Starcraft 2 so much, they might even include it in their interests, so I'd know who to invite. On the other hand, there's no "space" to meet any one within SC2, because in the middle of a game I am not trying to find out their life story, and when the game is over I have the choice to completely fucking ignore them, or add them to my friends list and engage in some 1v1 chat like some kind of pedophile stalker. The whole fucking point of social networking is that you provide the ability for people to gather and be social. If I have facebook already then I obviously don't need your shitty fail.net in order to keep track of them, so maybe a more useful function would be providing us a place to hang out and be social. And that's not even TOUCHING their total fucking cluelessness in designing zerg or their refusal to even listen to the feedback. I don't give a fuck if you think the lurker is cool enough. WE THINK THE LURKER IS COOL ENOUGH, ASSHOLE, SO GIVE IT A FUCKING SHOT. /nerd rage off

There's no reason against LANs save for money reasons, and I feel for all the Aussies playing. /sigh. I don't think i'll be getting this game unless some things change.

What if Pierce (or Pearce, or however the dude spells his name) actually has been focusing on something else, and all this is just going off what his development team is telling him they've been doing? What if he didn't realize people were this concerned about it all? What if he sees the reaction and actually puts pressure on the team to actually fix this stuff? Wishful thinking, I'm sure, but hey, I can dream.

Wishful thinking, I'm sure, but hey, I can dream. The fact that they would put some one that clueless out front to answer questions doesn't reassure me, and I've seen nothing from Blizzard in the last 8 weeks that makes me think they have any fucking clue what their fans want or expect.
