Gonna be honest, I didn't read all the posts, but I'm curious:

Can Frenzy target non-friendly units? If a unit is already being mind-controlled by another infestor, will the frenzy ability give that unit back to you? Would be insanely cool if it did :D

EDIT: Also with this in mind, should a mind-controlled unit be frenzied by the player that's mind-controlling it? Wouldn't it just not be MC-ed and wreck shop now that it's frenzied?

the ultralisk change will make it interesting zvz.....might be a popular choice in that match up...even then i think hydralisk will prbably melt it alive lol...

but i think against p/t....it might be a rather waste of an investment.

Ultralisk main issue remains: it's too big.

You can give it 250 dmg, it won't change the fact that it can't reach the opposite army.

This patch is terrible. Adding abilities to make the game even less fun by adding even more harassment is terrible. Now what, I have to build static D as all 3 races just in case an overseer drops infested terrans on my workers? This isn't something you can scout and counter like mutas or banshees... what a terrible ability. And you can just fly into my base and stop me from building units or research? Overseers are mega fast and 200/200 hp.. you can't exactly snipe them out of the air. What a joke.

Realy gr8 patch! Most of you complain about size of ultralisk but let me tell you that if he was smaller tanks would be the same vs them as they are vs all other ground units zerg has. And if you think ultralisk is used as the same way like in BW you are WRONG, because you cant expect this unit to ever work alone this is unit that needs support like infestors and zerglings and hydras. The sooner you realise this game is not about massing one unit the sooner you will get better and better!

Spells like Frenzy and Corruption abilities have no place in StarCraft universe...AT ALL.
Look at BW, all the spells there are ground-breaking if used correctly (except for blind or broodlings I guess).

Storms, ensnare, maelstrom, lockdown, distruption web, stasis, recall, swarm, plague etc.


Of course most of these spells weren't use simply because of the hard SC mechanics (no smartcasting, no tab to cycle through your units i.e.).
Even JD mentioned, that he would like to use queens with ensnare in lategame ZvT, but it simply takes too much effort.Using defilers alone takes away a huge amount of APM and focus.

These shitty % increases/decreases encourage W3 kind of gameplay.25% increase is nice, but it is only useful on "big units", like ultras and broodlords.
Corruption ability for corruptor is still a joke.
I guess their idea is to allow corruptors to kill stuff like collosi, BCs or mothership even faster, but it's just not interesting at all.

I like that they recreated overseer as an additional zerg caster though.

Ultras will still suck balls..Their main problem is that they die SOO fast to marauders/immortals.They can't get close enough to do that damage.
Now it will be even harder..
I like that Blizz has the balls to implement these extreme changes this late in the beta (especially with the upcoming few week beta hiatus, which means there will be even less time to test these changes), but I really wish they stopped making these minor "buff" abilities.

What about snares?Fungal growth?
And mind control?
Oh yea, infestor is the only one with that..
2 out of 3 abilities only work in ZvZ.Guess what, ZvZs don't last that long.Also considering the only units worth frenzying are ultras and broodlords, this ability is seriously plain out stupid.

Oh, and they also should get rid of shitty summoner abilities as well.Auto-Turret and infested terran are just BAD.
Too W3-ish.

Don't get me wrong, I love W3 and I think summoner abilities work quite well there.But this is SC universe.Spells are supposed to be ground-breaking and decide battles.
These minor buffs/debuffs and useless summoner abilities just suck

hate the m250 spell. hate frenzy and hate corruption
instead of fixing balance issues by making things immune and stronger against certain things they should balance the game in the hard way instead
its like thinking "ok tanks r too weak vs toss" "-siege tank +10 dmg vs protoss units"
