Its seems to me that Terran needed the buff for stim/shields to pretty much go just against void rays. Thors, and vikings just didnt cut it (until now with the kite possiblilty). Void Ray range decrease seemed necessary and zerg... well i'm not too sure about that myself

We'll see a lot more zerg players and a lot more Ultra/infestor useage, but I think protoss is still pretty powerful, I mean they still have the colossus!

The range decrease will effect VR vs Marines more than anything I think. Now VRs only outrange marines by one, and I expect this will make it a lot harder to snipe rines.

Ultra's are made for drops to rape bases, you should try to drop 6-8 ultra's in a base and see howfast it will drop.. they would've maybe been viable if they didn't nerf the HP.

void ray range decrease was completely sufficient though.
Stim/shields is just ridiculous, that 1/1/1 build was already ridiculously strong. Now it's just too much.


Btw. when will the patch be released anyways?

o Removed Copper League and added Diamond League above Platinum League.


Can someone explain this to me? Ok if they kept copper and added diamond - that would add another league for even more skilled players. But now? Copper = Bronze, Bronze = silver, silver = gold, gold = platinum, platinum = diamond.

I think ultralisks needs some kind of special ability. Like one where units with bonus to armored units don't get that bonus with ultras or something, because they really don't need it that much against ultras with as slow and as big as they are.

hmm..

I'm speculating that you can't reach Diamond through placement matches - you can only get in there by being promoted from Platinum. This seems to make the most sense.

Yeah, pretty much the same. Except Queens can't really leave the base and Frenzy is single target and will probably be ignored in favour of fungal growth in most scenarios. Identical.

hmm..

They sort it by percents. As it is now plat is probably top 5%, gold the 20% below that, silver the 30%, and so on (these are not the actual percents, I don't know them and don't think Blizzard released them).

So the change comes from the fact that Copper was probably 40% or so of all players and diamond will be 1-5%. This means that there will be minor re-stratification, but if you're in the middle of your division you'll probably stay the same.

Does it make sense, or did I babble?

turrets will be more to fend off overseers now than mutas :D

wouldnt get shocked to see cheaper+weaker turret and cannons next patch

How attack upgrades apply to Ultra? Please, tell me it is +2/+2 and not +1/3.. That would be soo sad.
Any secret changes to unit pathing, particularly ultra? I do not like frenzy, corruption and this kind of spells. No tactical choices AT ALL. Overseer being legit spellcaster is cool though. Overall kinda meh patch for me =)
EDIT: Wha?! Ultra building attack doing less DPS than his normal attack? Tell me they aren't serious.. What about attack upgrades on ultra's building attack? Is it + 10? :D

In my mind TCP was a totally loser way to go in Starcraft. There is a lot of information that I only care at that second. Anything thats not that way make your own handshaking. Anyways.

The overseer changes are interesting. I wonder if there new ability will stop a turret from shooting. Feels a little bit Ravenish to me. Infested terran is a turret pretty much.

Some people really need to chill out, despite the lack of units and abilities (and the fact that I mostly choose random) I like to play Zerg, but, quite honestly (and most Zergs I know will agree) they have become very boring to play compared to other races.. just a feeling that there are 1 or 2 dynamic units missing..

The Overseer - these new changes breathe life into what was essentially a noninvisible observer for 50, 100 plus 100 from the original overlord. As protoss and terran I've had little to fear from Zerg early game because of wall and sentries.. but now, slightly before muta time Zerg can actually harass the opponent!





Now Protoss and Terran will possibly have to watch for a slightly early (and easy to kill) Zerg air attack.
