Looking forward to trying it out, that pseudo-bloodlust in conjunction with different units should make for some interesting micro. and I guess Infested Terrans are kind've alright now, I often just have Overseers chillaxing at near full energy, and a few extra little shitty units isn't a bad thing, I guess. Some Overseers are arguably a way to sink some cash if you're macroing poorly or you're maxed, just to corrupt the hell out of your opponent's buildings so he can't reproduce units properly after a battle. It's not like they cost food.

I can have this patch on EU, pl0x?

So how do I find the custom games on Bnet?

There is no custom maps option when joining a game.

However i will excitingly watch if Blizzards attempt completely change the most beefed and scary unit from a "tank" to a "300/200 glass cannon" will actually pay out.


If you think about ZvP the Ultra could really be viable if you didn't go for a spire in the first place. If you think about the options for Protoss it's mostly either be very aggressive early on and exploit your map control to get a bunch of expansions and transition to higher tech at this point or tech very fast and try to push your opponent and exploit all your tech while macroing up. So the question is should Zerg just get a Spire in both of these cases or would a ling hydra infestor ultra combination be able to prove to be more powerful.

I'm hoping Copper and Bronze will just be merged and skill levels be roughly the same in silver and up. And then making Diamond something to separate low plat with high plat, i feel there is such a massive difference from within one league to justify a new league.

Overseer buff is so awesome

It seems as though many people here are lamenting the WC3'ish spells implemented into the Zerg's arsenal. However, people must realize that these spells are pivotal to the sustainability of micro. Without these spells, the zerg will literally have no micro outside of the occasional fungal growth or neural parasite.

The corrupter's spell, which results in a unit receiving 20 percent more damage, boosts micro tremendously. Is it a clever spell? No. Is it a game changing spell in the hands of a skilled user? Yes. Essentially, in a few years time, the usage of spells like the corrupter's and frenzy will determine who rises to the top of SC 2's pro gaming scene. Take away these spells, and the skill ceiling will be lowered to such a degree that any nub with a month of playing will be able to compete with the best.

Wait a second they lowered the ultras health? I mean wasn't the forcefields only part of the problem even without forcefields you have to get to the units which is difficult by itself ( especially since they didn't make it any smaller....) and with 450hp I doubt it's ever gonna be possible to get in range to attack even once before it's focused down. Oh well then again I'm a noob so I'm sure i'm wrong

I'm not sure if this is true, but I really don't like Blizzard's "Catering to the Casuals" mindset in balancing and tweaking games. Not just SC2, but also in WoW and most likely Diablo 3, which makes me sad.

You know after sleeping on it, I think that the Stim/Shield upgrades are a good thing. The one base everything build will eventually be figured out or maps will change to allow more macro like SCI so having a slightly faster bio option will not be too bad... if Zerg get buffed...

I would like this too, but a blue posted that they changed it because bronze and copper are too similar in name, that is, bronze is made out of copper and tin, and they didn't want any confusion...

Yeah... their motivation for nerfing VRay range sounds like "it was too hard for noob terrans to stop this unit, so we had to screw around with it in order to make the game more fun for everyone." I think blizzard's actually aiming to make terran more beginner-friendly, but they don't have to take things away from other races just for this purpose.

its probably just that dustin bowder plays terran in his copper division and is sick his marauder rush with skipping marines all together is not working every game yet and hes pissed off :B

I agree with the change to the leauge system because the difference between copper to gold are not that huge to justify 4 different leauges while it makes more sense to split higher plat and lower plat into two leauges

I dunno where to begin, so I'll just pass arguing with you. Nevertheless changes require playtime, so complaining about it is worthless.

And yes I play Terran 1600 plat on EU, i dont have a problem with VR now, but the change is still good.
