I'd say that for these 'random people' to have any connectivity via your facebook you would have to have them added as a realid friend.

Here's the thing, Blizzard; if I want to make use of this integration and talk to friends and 'share' sc-related info/achievements/whatever.. I have to have a facebook account.... But guess what? If I have a facebook account, I'LL JUST FUCKING USE THAT!!!!!!!!! On the other hand, if I want to play with multiple friends on bnet, watch replays, converse with local players or play with old friends from foreign areas... I'm fucked because it's on your 'to-do' list. Like online replays were with warcraft 3. And we all know how fast you boys checked that one off your list, right? OH WAIT...

![]() I can't really contribute anything more to this than what has already been said, but I only wish to add my name to the list of those who think this is an appalling waste of time, considering.

Ideally SC2 will automatically tweet "Fucking Protoss." every time I press 1, a, click, t, F10, s. Let's work on implementing all the features from B.net 1 before screwing around with additional pointless crap.

Edit: I think Blizzard doesn't realize that we don't actually want our geeky SC lives to slip over in real life...

I also don't doubt they already have a full team on chat functionality, and that clearly more people is better. I responded to this idea on another forum: tarpman wrote: No, more likely a couple of interns threw it together in a week. Facebook is pretty trivial to integrate with from what I hear. Still, from my vantage point it's basically adding insult to injury as far as stripping out features I want and replacing with them with the last thing I'd ever want.

b.) Doesn't have an impact at all if not used c.) Makes managing of "real ID friends easier and gives a better overview. Will I use it? I don't know yet. I first have to actually see how it functions exactly. I definetly have quite a lot of "Facebook-firends" who actually played BW and play now SC2 (except those unfortunate ones without a key^^)and WoW. So I am considering it, depening on how much control I have of what is being broacasted as Statusupdate. Don't want to spam everybody with useless statusupdates. And yep I expected a Social network integration along those lines. Even the Battle.Net interface tries to mirror a Social netfork interface. So actually that isn't a big surprise.
