Yeah, clearly facebook integration will deter all the casuals from realizing RTS is too hard for them. except that starcraft 2 is infinity easier to learn than 1....

yes! thank you blizzard for implementing this instead of letting us use diffrent gateways! lets connect people but still have them disconnected. YOU'RE JUST SO AWESOME!
edit: oh and please dont add online replays, chat-channel or clans anytime soon, this will take care of EEEEVERYTHING

Not soGood thinking! If we use non-reverse psychology on blizzard they might not fix all our non-requests and features that so shouldn't have been there the whole time!

It's still a genre that any casual will get stomped at. It just requires too much speed and attention split between too many things.

To show my protest I will hack Facebook accounts that are tied to Bnet2.0 accounts. There is no place for absolutely retarded social network in a competitive gaming platform. I still don't believe this and prefer to think I got trolled.
|
lol @ the 31 people who voted for "yay i was hoping for this" are you fking serious lol no channels and fb integration? wtf do you think facebook is for, connecting with friends why would you integrate it with bnet its not like you can do much - its not that hard to click add friend, type their name/identifier and click ok ??? if theres no channels then fml .... this is probably the most stupid thing by blizz lol or maybe theyre just making more money
|
(conspiracy theory) God forbid, Blizzard introduces ads in Battle.net, with Facebook (notorious for their customer privacy), they will know exactly with what to spam you And, of course, vice versa.
|
Using a different email then my facebook account as I don't want 500+ Facebook "Your friend did this" emails. So I doubt I'll integrate anything.
|
Moreso than the other questionable decisions, this one boggles the mind.

Looking forward to converting minerals to farm cash.

guys wtf, like this is awesome. I hope it updates my status automatically. Like, I went standard 9 pool, but instead of teching i went to banelings!!!
Rickilicious is 'Went Banelings instead of Lair. His opponents will surely rage lol when they see this noob copper mistake.'
No but seriously, this is probably the worst idea ever.
|
The question should all ask yourselves:
"How can I make money out of it?"
|
not a bad idea, but I really think Blizzard should work on other things, things the community has ask for...
PD: I do have a lot of StarCraft players on Facebook, help me to contact players from Central America, what can I said....

This is all Activision and not Blizzard, just realize that AB is a huge ass company with business interests

And on this day, a little piece of everyone's unwavering faith in Blizzard died... a slow painful death.
1. No chat at release 2. $60 Reg edition/$100 CE (Higher than normal) 3. No multi-national gaming (ie region dependent versions) 4. No online replays 5. No over all ladder 6. No LAN... ever (until 3rd party hacks)

No LAN... ever (until 3rd party hacks) I think I remember how the second and third starcraft 2 (protoss and zerg) was originally just the single player that differed, now they are expansions. So 60+40+40 (hopefully! prob 60+60+60 = 180..) for the full game. 140 *3 (+shipping) for global starcraft 2.
420$ (or 540) + http://starcraftrankings.com/ (sorry guys, but a real-time ladder would be better) + external chat solution (TL IRC to the rescue!) + external clan solution (dunno, some standard how to name your character + IRC + website) + external send my screen to you/count down from 3 on skype (to watch a replay with a friend) + 3rd party LAN hack and the risk of viruses/getting your account with all your games banned
:/ EDIT: a bit negative, but truth. also, LAN support (and hamachi) removes the need for two points on the list (and lowers cost to 140). Not a bad deal for something AS FRIKKING BASIC AS LAN.

GREAT! Now if I get a msg from a friend in the middle of the game, it will throw me off! WTF BLIZZARD! Facebook is virtually useless. Why would you add something useless to one of the greatest games of all time, making it worse?! If im playing SC2, Im most likely not going to want to talk to my friends that are on facebook!! Drama goes on on facebook! Gaming happens on SC2. The 2 dont mix. Get it straight please...
