Bad math or no, using Infested Terrans on workers is a waste of energy. By the time the ITs pop out, the workers will have fled.

Better to cast Fungal Growth and drop some Zerglings with your Infestors. FG does lots of damage, nearly killing the workers. More importantly, it holds them still, so your Zerglings can feast on them without problems.


Its not the workers I would be worried about.

Its the 11 seconds it takes them to kill your Nexus.

And before this goes rehashing old points, the ITs will live 9 seconds longer than that. So even if you arrive in record time and inflict casualties, they're still going to do some serious damage to that building, softening it up for the next time you're not paying 100% attention to a quick Overlord drop.

Again, not saying its OP (yet), just saying its something to watch out for.


I don't know why you're worried about this as much as you are. If the Z has the capability to drop into your base, there are far, far more effective things he can be doing than dropping Infestors and spamming some Infested Terrans on you.

Your chief worry seems to be the time. While it's true that 16 ITs will kill a Nexus or CC in 11 seconds, they neither hatch instantly, nor cast instantly. 8 casts from each infestor will eat up 2-3 seconds even with shift-queueing, and the eggs take, what, 3 seconds to hatch? En toto you're talking upwards of 15 seconds, completely ignoring the extra time your enemy will get from seeing your drop coming

If you want to complain about center sniping, complain about triple-thor strikes taking out a CC or Nexus in one 250mm cannon cycle. Some Terrans have already been utilizing this strat, and it's fairly effective. And that one literally is 6 seconds plus the cast time on strike cannons, which is another 1-2 seconds. Far less time, and has been in the game for a while now. Hasn't proven to be a problem, so something less effective shouldn't be a problem either.


The reason I'm worried is, its the equivalent of 5 Dark Templars, that only costs the Zerg energy once they've made the 450 gas investment in the building and 2 Infestors. Sending 5 DTs in to kill a Nexus/whatever is suicide for those units, normally. Sending in 16 ITs costs nothing. They get to keep the Infestors and use them later.

Economically, its a sound plan.


eh, what ever by the time I can have infestors and drop for OL's (loooong research time) I can have 6-8 mutas and do just as much if not more damage to your econ if you don't have turrets....even so my muta harrass will kill 2-3 drones and not lose a muta.

It sounds like to me you are inventing an IMBA to match the fact that zerg (finially) got a buff to infestors....
Zerg macro is not OP its Zerg Macro.

Anyone else have this problem? When I click B-> F to build a forge it the screen begins to follow my selected probe instead. I have to manually click on the forge icon to get my probe to build it.

I just find it hard to believe they did nothing about force field, it should have a HP bar low enough such that forcefielding a ramp isn't possible to do indefinitely, but also high enough to be useful in actual engagements.

Nothing more frustrating than losing cause your units inside your base are trapped.

ROACHES CAN'T EVEN FUCKING COUNTER ZERGLINGS.....

lol idiot. Actually the zerg nerfing is not even close to being done. As players get better and start abusing the queen larva mechanic to it's fullest potential, only then will the real nerfing begin. The koreans are already getting there, it's just a matter of time until blizzard takes action.

ROACHES, with their straight HIGH damage are supposed to counter light units, like Zealots, like Zerglings Like, marines....and to make up for this "benefit" supposedly the other races were given + armor damage units like the marauder and the Stalker (yes the stalker is considered a tier for tier counter to the roach) and in turn it should in THEORY be a unit composition battle for the first one and a half tiers....

With zerg having a slight advantage with the roach. Then everyone and their brother screamed "THE ROACH IS OP NERF IT" and blizzard said "fuck the zerg" and nerfed it's regen rate, the zerg were fine with this they made up for it by using baneling/roach/ling for the first tier and a half, then people cried "THE ROACH IS OP NERF IT" and blizzard did, reducing the armor of an "armored unit" to 1 which means marines now do 7 damage to it (14 to the roaches 16 when taken in attack time) and well marauders can rape a 2 roaches toe to toe. And because a tier 2 sneak attack roach maneuver, usually aimed at minerals was OP'd so blizzard went and nerfed the roach move speed when burrowed...never mind the simple fact that this is a GAMBLE and a 350/350 ability the single most expensive ability in the game....so now you can't even roll in and hit the mins then roll out before a detector can be MADE.

Again people screamed "ZERG IS OP NERF THEM" not really even having any specifics, so blizzard did, and nerfed the queen's movement speed to the point that if Zerg FE'd AND build 2 queens to defend against the MAYBE POSSIBLE AIR RUSH they couldn't guard their natural with 300 mins worth of units that die REALLY FUCKING FAST to 100 mins worth of units.

Yeah this game is over for the zerg, Every work around a zerg comes up with is nerfed into oblivion, so fuck it, it's over for the zerg player. GG Toss and Terran, but ESP the Terran, you won. Zerg is out of the running. Never mind that it took A FUCKING DECADE FOR ONE ZERG PLAYER TO DOMINATE BW. Never mind that he has to play a PERFECT GAME AGAINST TERRAN. Jaedong was the messiah for the zerg, now our era is over. He was too good, and blizzard had to nerf the entire goddamn race to prevent him from winning ever again.


GG I'm done with SC2, it's over I refuse to play terran and thus this game is no fun for me.
