Amazing changes! I never did get to experience the Warhound for myself though =/ Even though I wanted it out of the game, I find myself wishing I had gotten the beta in time to at least play around with it.

Also, while I'm extatic that they're putting the Carrier back in the game, I'm getting a bit concerned about ZvP. I really don't think Toss needs a Mothership late-game anymore (well basically vortex I'm saying), and I wish that Zerg had more options. I always thought ZvP was a bit bland from the Zerg end when Toss goes air, because all you can do is mass Corruptors and Infestors, and Corruptors are really boring.

Anyone else think they should re-work the void ray now that the tempest is aimed at the anti-massive role? I would really like to see protoss with 4 ships that all compliment each other, as it stands it seems like the VR is only good at stopping all ins/ clearing overlords but will be overshadowed by the tempest as the game gets longer. maybe bonus damage vs buildings? flux vanes? Anything to give it some more functionality in the fleet.

Why would a unit be able to see highground and not shoot it? I'm thinking that the strength isn't going to be for the reapers to be able to shoot stuff on the highground anyways (but yea it will probably be annoying when they can)... but if the Terran has vision of the high ground without having a unit in the base that itself opens up a ton of things you can do to abuse that early. 1 or 2 reapers and 1 or 2 marines, with well placed bunkers and a couple of tanks. Will be rough to deal with.

I've heard it suggested that only Barracks + Tech Lab openings will be effective in TvT, with this Reaper sight buff. Perhaps it'll ruin current 1 Rax CC openings, but if it does, can't you just trade them for 2 Rax CC, and/or incorporate a few strategic bunkers?

I think it would make TaeJa's Reaper-Hellion-Medivac opening even more deadly.

To make mech viable again like in brood war they need to bring back the goliath and take out the warhound. Honesty speaking the warhound is like the goliath except it was too strong.

This is definitely a good patch. Not sure how they couldn't see that Warhound was not going to work in the grand scheme of things.

However with the battle hellion mode being an armory-based upgradde now though, it feels like at the end of the day, Terran is not going to get much in HotS.

Also like the Phase Shield ability. Will definitely add more micro to the match-up, particularly vs Fungals.

Well atleast in the current spec of things Terran will get to play WoL. Just with the adition of alot of good shit for other races and really shitty widow mines for themselfs. Rejoice!

Blizzard has still refused to fix the Carrier.


10 damage to ground BC doesn't really fix the unit. It's still in the exact same position as Carrier - you can only get them really slowly over a long period of time where you kill off your army and replace it with BCs. You will still only see them in really long games where the opponent LETS the Terran get them, ie very rarely.
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

Well bugger me sideways, they are listening.
And coming up with awesome ideas, phase shield sounds really cool. It'll bring more micro posibilities. You can break the accursed chain fungals with that!

Well hydras are kind of an option now too with speed + abduct.
I'm not a massive fan of the superunit all or nothing dynamic the mothership brings (specifically vortex/neural), but it can't just be cut without some kind of smaller arbiter type unit to replace it.
