I imagine the warhound will come back in some shape or form, but for now they need to buff the tank because mech has lost a big portion of it's DPS. | ||

I would like to see an upgrade for siege tanks that would remove friendly fire from the splash. Somebody came up with this idea in one of the HoTS threads and it is a very good idea. But for an expansion that isnt enough, they need to come up with a new unit. | ||

the reason why the carrier "works" in BW is because units either clump up (like mutas) or move in total chaos (every ground unit). the chaos movement of ground units makes it harder to run underneath the carrier and kill it quickly. in wol is so much easier to get a dozen of units end take it out instantly. by getting the range upgrade the enemy is gonna have to do a proper skirmish to take down carriers | ||

Next, give carriers its bw micro! I'm not sure if battle hellions can fulfill the role of meatshield in TvP mech well enough, but I'm sure it can be tweaked along with widow mines to make it viable. | ||

Besides, different tech-paths is good for gameplay. i think you are perfectly right. in tvz, the only real airborn nonlight threat is the broodlord, but with fungal, blinding cloud and its very own broodlings blocking the way, it would be impossible for the goliath to engage them, the viking is vastly superior in this situation. in tvp, the protoss groundforces already can destroy a fortified terran position, and even if battlehellions and the useless mine somehow make it a bit more difficult, the 15 range tempest can slowly dismantle the terran, and the goliath will once again not be able to attack it. | ||

It would be cool if they changed the void ray to actually counter vikings and corruptors, or at least pose a decent fight vs them so that hydras and marines become the counter to air, and we could see some really different late game compositions from both match ups. | ||

Mech is already getting a lot of new toys with Widow Mines and Battle Hellions. If it needs more help, buff Widow Mines. | ||

I liked the Warhound, but it definitely needs a more specific role, and some 'bad' to it. The battle hellion change is the coolest IMO, early hellions, and later you can get battle hellions, seems logical. WELCOME BACK CARRIER <3 Reaper change is interesting... gonna have to be scared of those all game again. All in all, good changes. They're really trying to get things working fluidly and with purpose. | ||
