I'm not sure whether this has been said but for 29 there's actually an easier way if your micro isn't that good. Run both marines to the middle in a diagonal line upwards so the zealots also meet at the centre. Continue running up then proceed to run in circles with the two marines. That way you just use one control group. However you need to be careful about having a really small circle, if the zealots get too near your third marine the aggro changes :\

You have to pull the banshee away faster if you're shooting and taking damage, dunno what else to tell you. If you're too slow the banshee will decelerate and you'll get hit.

do what the guide says. On the count down spam H on the medivac. Then when the stalkers first shoot right click the tank, then after the stalker shots hit the ground D+click on the medivac. Keep doing that. You don't need to target fire for that one but the trick is to get all the stalkers firing at the same spot.


Just to add, you need to keep spamming hold on the medivac the whole time, since issuing the drop command will cancel the hold position and it'll run away.


Had to have been my latency. I gave up for a few days and just tried it again today, got it on FIRST try, ezpz no problem at all.

For the one that requires the ling/bling micro, try moving all of your zerglings one way, and then try and get all of your banelings to kill all of their banelings. Since the computer tries to use their lings to protect the banelings, you'll either kill all of the banelings, or a huge chunk of their zerglings. That's what I do when I play ZvZ, and surprisingly, the computer seems to have the same micro skills as the average platinum Zerg ^^

It was fun and all, but I think Blizz shot themselves in the foot a bit here. Some of these show exactly why everybody from BW kept saying that there is really no micro in SC2 and why we don't really see some things in professional play much. The unit fire rates, turn animation rates, accelerations are all similar and kinda fast. That combined with the fact that every unit in SC2 has a small random delay for their attacks adds up to a feeling of a small window and randomness.

I got the achievements but not all 30 levels. The Custom Game lag owned me so hard I had to retry the next morning when the internet was better. T_T (Couldn't even stim kite a Zealot without move commands not registering in time and getting owned)

Some were quite tricky, and I still can't beat the Ghost and 30th challenge, not quite accurate enough with the mouse. Have to say it was great fun and you get to do a lot of really fun stuff you wouldn't do on the ladder.

That said I got much better at Banshee kiting now

I'm on level 28 in the custom game and would prefer to come back and finish 28-30 later. Will I have to start over or miss out on an achievement if I exit and later start playing Starcraft Master custom game?

No you won't have to start over - go ahead and quit. When you come back just click warp and choose the levels that you need to complete. I stopped at level 30 on my first run through, and came back later and finished it to get the last achievement.

Level 30 sucks with a mechanical keyboard. If you don't lift the key high enough, it doesn't even register.

The first time I did this, I got all 30 done after 1hour 30min. Used around 20min on the banshee ans 20min ob the medic+tank. The second time I did it on my 2nd account I did it all in 45-50min.
Things I had problems with:
Infested terran vs marine/tank - Just random where the infested land and splash deals dmg.
Ghost snipr/marines vs ling/bling - Hard to hit the damn blings with the mouse cursor.
Banshe vs marines - Hard with stop and a-move, and kinda hard to only have 1 marine in range in case your not doing it perfect.
3marines vs 2 zelots - Stupid AI when it comes to path finding for the 2 marines kiting.
Medivac/tank drop vs 3 stalkers - Stalkers dont fire at the same time, and hard to do it fast, without being to fast (pressong D before the game registers the tank is in de medivac.

Good thing i am just BARELY fast enough with the mouse to beat 28. ended up beating the level with 2 ghosts, 1 in red and 1 in orange. level 30...however....

To those of you who are struggeling with any part off this custom game.
I would like you to say what race and league you play in, and what level it is your struggeling with.
Just want to see if there is a noticeble difference when it comes to micro between the leagues and races.

On Round 4 - Focus Fire you don't need any move-micro, just be quick with the first shot so it gets focused. If you are like me, move-micro will only make things worse.

It's actually also possible to beat it without stimming, so just move down, hold R, and then click away!

It's actually also possible to beat it without stimming, so just move down, hold R, and then click away!

Yeah, I also didn't stim at all and don't understand why people have so much trouble with this one. It was like the easiest out of the 10 last. ("the tank drop", "banshee shoot & move "and "3 marines / 2 zealots" being the hardest for me).

The key is just to select the entire group and move it at the very bottom so that zerlings don't get a surround. Then, select ghost, HOLD DOWN THE R KEY (Don't ever release it), and then..Well..Just shoot green stuf. It's not about APM, it's just about aiming with your mouse.

Dead eye ghosts? Not so bad just took a few tries and lucky spawns. ez. Untouchable? REALLY REALLY HARD.

Finished 26 after aboutt 2 hours in game time. Didn't want to play anymore, the rest are pretty micro and timing oriented and i'm on a 10mpbs connection ahah. I guess I got lucky with some. The speed banes one i just put lings on 1 control group, blings on 2, and when it started i just 2a moved, and then 1a moved after the banes were in; was left with 3 lings v 2 haha
