Seems all but confirmed which is so stupid. Sarri has just thrown in the towel and wants out for Juve. Rumours are he is "homesick" and with Juventus wanting him he is gone just like that. Chelsea using that link to make Juventus take Higuain back off us lol so no compensation going to be used either.
Its all so annoying and im so disappointed in Sarri
Now we begin our search for another coach.

League victories also differ in how impressive they are - Liverpool looks 'basically as good as city' when evaluating league performance, but no trophy. Last season City was far superior to the entire rest of the league. Whereas when Leicester won (I mean, that was obviously a fantastically impressive feat from Leicester), the second place team had 71 points.. That's pretty not fair since the idea of UCL is that most teams are more or less comparable in quality, so its kinda the idea that you should not dominate nor be dominated
Sometimes in a league you could go 8 matches without facing an opponent that might even put you in a position to lose, meanwhile in UCL, in every group there's at least 1, most of the time 2, teams that could beat you or at least challenge you.
I don't value each tournament more than the other, as a fan i would rather win a Champions than a League, but as far as titles goes, they are both important.

i think anyone would be lying to really say they'd rather win a league than a CL

Liverpool next season would rather win the PL than the CL.
|
even this season id say liverpool would rather have won the pl

Liverpool is also a club who was record holder for decades and hasnt won a title since 1990...
On the same thought bayern and barca would kill for a CL and Juve

Liverpool is probably the only club in the world that would have prefered a domestic title over a CL win, but in general winning the Champions League is much more prestigious and arguably more difficult than winning the league.

the players (of any team/club) always prefer to win CL than a domestic title. clubs/teams always prefer domestic titles. Bayerns and Juventus clearly express how important domestic titles are, more than CL titles.

Which of course could just be due to them failing to win the CL forr several years now. Obviously you would express that the title you won is the more important one. I don't see any other reason why domestic titles should be more important to a club.

Zidane and several other coaches have openly said winning La Liga is worth more than CL to them. I don't share the feeling, but I can understand why they think so.

Well if you win the league you are the truly best of your country and you showed it over a long period of time. In cl you can fuck up one game and you are out. While it is almost undebatable that city, barca, bayern and juve are the best in their respective leagues it is not undebatable that Liverpool is the best team in europe. Same goes for France as the best team in the world. Its just the nature of format.

If you beleve that what their official statements say then you must be ignoring their transfer dealings

Bayern doesn't give two fucks about winning the league. Year in year out they mention they want CL. With every transfer they mention it's for CL.

And I don't think Juventus signed Cristiano because they wanted to win the Italian league.

Sevilla appointed Lopetegui as their manager. I wonder how Sevilla fans are feeling about that, he's probably not at the peak of his popularity right now.

Real doesn't win La Liga very often in recent years so I absolutely believe him.
For every club the league is generally the most important title. However there are clubs who happen to win the their respective league quite often, which shifts the priorities to CL.

It depends on the club and their chances of winning the league as opposed to the CL.
Ajax won the double this year, but I would trade that in a heartbeat for this years' double. They had real chances of winning it. Next year the team will get poached into oblivion, not to mention that they might not have the same luck as this year, so they next time we'll get this close to winning the CL might be.. never.

Frankfurt confirmed Jovic to real. Germany media says the fee is around 60 milion with 5 more as potential bonus.

As reported ages ago that deal was done a while back. Zidane knows what and who he wants and its just up to the board to get it done. Money is a steal as well in reality too.
Rumors last night is that they are close in money terms to Eddie as well, around £106million (€120 million) is the fee they think it will be around.
