Obviously the strength and competitiveness of the league makes a big difference.
The premier league has won the champions league 4 times in the past 15 years. The team that won the champions league also won the domestic league only one of those 4 times. Liverpool this year got second, in 2011-12 chelsea won CL while getting 6th in the league, United won 2007-2008 (2 points ahead of chelsea, their CL final opponent), and when Liverpool won in 2004-2005 they ended 5th in the league - 37 points behind the winner. Liverpool has two CL titles in the past 15 years, but 0 premier league titles ever.
Barcelona won the CL 4 times in the same period; in each of those years, they also won La Liga, and they have 10 domestic titles in the past 15 years. (RM has 4 of both). But like, at least for me, I was much more impressed by Atletico Madrid winning La Liga in 2013-14 than I would have been from them winning CL in 2013-14 or 15-16 - both years they lost the finals, once on extra time, the other time they conceded the 1-1 goal 3 minutes on overtime. I'm not gonna argue that atletico madrid fans preferred the la liga trophy (I have no idea), but I certainly know which I think was more impressive.
Likewise, obviously bayern, PSG, Juventus and City prefer a CL win, and for at least three of those teams, a CL victory is also more impressive because their domestic competition has been less fierce than the european competition is.

As a sidenote, my city club (Granada) has been promoted again to the first division. I'm ready for watching some first division Liga matches this season.

And why not England by far the best team that is left? Netherlands already began slipping with loses to Germany (lol Germany in 2019) and they wont have Van Dijk for that game unless they really are silly and play him which is better for England i guess.

You do realize Germany will kick Englands butt at the next European Championship, right? Well, depending if England can get out of groups of course xD
Germany is revitalized and hungry again after rebuilding the team

You have Low still as coach what do you mean :D He still thinks Neuer is better than TerStegen for some reason which is just the tip of the iceberg of problems.
The next years Euros will be good fun though due to it being hosted around Europe.

Huh? What's wrong with Van Dijk? He isn't injured. At worst he's tired after a long season, is that what you're saying? In which case, he's still more than fit enough to handle Harry Kane, who was absolutely stellar last week, wasn't he?

None of the champions league final players should be ready or even in contention for the games this week. Thursday kick off for England and Netherlands that means they joined up to training Tuesday and will have "2 days" of training to get ready to play. In Van Dijk's case partying for 2 days solid getting stupidly drunk on top isn't good prep? Kane won't start for England nor will any of the champs league players Spurs or Liverpool that im sure.
Our front 3 will be amazing still with Sterling - Rashford - Sancho so im more than positive

You know a national team is fucked when Sterling is their best player

Biggest tournament in Europe yeah, UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE.

Im pretty sure big Virgil will play. If you have van Dijk, you play van Dijk! Drunk or not, I think his importance for the Oranje is far greater than the importance of any lilys or pudlians is for England.

Ronaldo super impressive with 3 goals. Wow, he has turned super mode again

All of those goals were stellar. Very impressive day. Not even sure how to rank them although I am pretty sure the free kick comes first.

So. Call up Ekkelenkamp and easy final for Holland, right?

Ronaldo has become European top scorer of all time. Only some Iranian has about 20 goals lead for being in the world. At the rste hes going I dont even believe its impossible for him. He defies age
