sig bets are fun and nice, but we're talking about a bet where it's a full year until the results are in. So noo it's not gonna be done like that.

why not have them do the bet, but like a monthly one over an entire year. so they have to change their sigs depending on who's leading the league that month? and then whoever loses, will carry the sig until the next season.

If you want a laugh watch the penalty shoot out between West Brom and Aston Villa in the championship last night. West Brom sent up 4 defenders for the first 4 penalties, missing the first two! Villa then scored 3 and had two penalties to win it in which 19 year old Tammy Abraham (on loan from this amazing club) won it for them on their 5th. Was hilarious watching defender after defender walk up especially when the first two missed lol.

Looks like Barca is going to pay the 125 million euro buyout on Griezmann. That's a lot of money for one player. They probably need to sell someone (Coutinho?) if there's any intention to upgrade the midfield for example.
|
So,
Koulibaly to ManU, Coutinho gonna be sold, Griezmann to Barcelona or PSG as it was rumoured that they want him as well. Hazard to Madrid, interesting transfer window.

There is no way Man City come out looking good in this. They just need to accept responsibility and apologize. As well as punish the players responsible.
A video emerged on social media on Tuesday which appeared to show City players and staff singing a distasteful version of Liverpool's 'Allez, Allez, Allez' song as they travelled on a plane following Sunday's victory at Brighton which clinched the title.
The song, which City fans had changed the lyrics to, makes reference to Liverpool fans "crying in the stands" and being "battered on the streets" at last year's Champions League final in Kiev, which Liverpool lost 3-1 to Real Madrid. It also contains the lyric "victims of it all".
Liverpool fan Cox was attacked by Roma supporters ahead of their Champions League semi-final at Anfield.
A Manchester City statement insisted the song in question has been a regular chant during the 2018-19 season and refers to the 2018 UEFA Champions League final in Kiev.
"Any suggestion that the lyrics relate to Sean Cox or the Hillsborough tragedy is entirely without foundation," the statement added.
Reports also suggested the song referred to City captain Vincent Kompany injuring Mohamed Salah earlier in the season.
Liverpool have chosen not to comment on the video but Sean Cox's brother, Martin Cox, has said he is "disgusted" by the song and says it reminds him of his brother's attack.
"If I'm honest I'm disgusted," he told Radio City.
"Singing and chanting those words, it's like it gives the impression that it's okay for people to carry out attacks like that on people in the streets.
"It's a matter very close to our hearts and whether they say it's about Sean or not, the first thing I think about is Sean being attacked.
"It wasn't long ago that a Manchester City fan was attacked in Germany, so why they think it's okay to sing songs about people being attacked on the streets when one of their own was attacked not long ago, is very naive."
City's win over Brighton ensured they retained the title by a point from second-placed Liverpool.

Yeah those two lines with the Batter in the Streets and Ramos Injured Salah arent very 2019. Even if they probably have no clue of the implications of what they are saying.

Even if they probably have no clue of the implications of what they are saying. Yeah. I think they could just say that players involved (if any) are not natives, didn't have a good grasp of the connotations and so on. That's probably the case for most of the involved anyway. Issue an apology and move on.
Meanwhile claiming there aren't any potentially offensive angles on the song seems a bit rich considering the recent anti-racism campaings and all that. It has enough ill intent that nobody directly associated with the club should be singing that stuff.
I'm not particularly knowleadge about local EPL fan culture and conduct though, I'm mostly piecing this together from reddit posts.

Leeds vs Derby 2 in the playoffs is really fun to watch

City's win over Brighton ensured they retained the title by a point from second-placed Liverpool. Source i don't blame the players ... players are generally dumb so they'll chant to whatever ...
the PR department needs to get sacked though ... i don't really give a shit if the players meant it or not, regardless it was distasteful and it came from the public so just put up a generic apologetic statement (you don't even have to mean it) and move on ...
