Seems about right: Neymar: 200m for a 4 year contract buyout. Hazard: have to buy off a quarter of that contract, so 50m. However, he's also only half the drama queen that Neymar is, so double the price. 100m. Seems fair.

that actually is quite a bit different from 30 when it comes to pricing him.

This guy is Tier 1 for all things Belgium and has been way ahead of most on this saga. The Perez mouthpiece last week stated €130 million but he says his source says no fee has been agreed yet. All we know is Hazard wants to go there if the club let him and Real seemingly want him.

An investigation into accusations that Premier League champion Manchester City misled European soccer’s financial regulators in pursuit of its success on the field is expected to recommend that the team be barred from the Champions League, European soccer’s richest competition and the trophy the club covets most. English soccer authorities and officials at UEFA, European soccer’s governing body and the organizer of the Champions League, have for months been investigating Manchester City amid allegations of rule-breaking revealed in damaging leaks over much of the past year. Members of the investigatory chamber of UEFA’s financial control board, a group set up to analyze the accounts of clubs suspected of breaking strict cost-control regulations, met two weeks ago in Nyon, Switzerland, to finalize their conclusions. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/13/sports/manchester-city-champions-league-uefa.html?smtyp=cur&smid=tw-nytimes Shocker.

Well to be more accurate we have to factor in time decay as well, so it's probably less than a quarter. Agree on the math for drama queen. But you should also count that hazard is a better player than neymar works out 100m seem fair to me

And frankly I dont care how much and I dont think Real will either. They want him, they will get him. I reckon low 90s for City at nest and mid to high 80 for Liverpool would be a more realistic estimate. Thats a bit on the conservative side but I think thats fairer. You can never really tell at this stage though, after the first league month of the summer ending you tend to get an idea of how play styles and teams have evolved or devolved. And then around Jan is when it goes back to being the usual 2 hours race that the Pl nearly always is but everyone seems to insist on convincing themselves otherwise for the better part of 6 months.

I'm not trying to bet that City will win the league again though, I'm betting that they maintain the same level and Liverpool's level drops. 95+ points is abnormal, but City have done it 2 years in a row and although some players in their squad are aging a bit and need to be phased out, they are so strong in depth that I honestly don't think they'll lose more games next year.

The three relegated teams (Fulham, Huddersfield, Cardiff) had a 0-0-34 record against the top6 teams. Then Manchester United came and the record changed to 1-1-34. This is such a damning stat. ManUtd should be ashamed of themselves
