As good as Mane Salah Firmino are, they make Liverpool's offense predictable and vulnerable to injuries. Shaqiri/Origi aren't cosistent enough to compete for the league title in the long run. Based on transfermarkt profiles, Neres and Brandt could probably cover most attacking positions on the Liverpool systems as necessary. Meanwhile Pepe has mostly history on the Salah type of role. My backseat manager would go for Neres or Brandt at this point if I had to make a badly educated guess.

Brandt was never constantly good as a winger / part of the front three, he started doing well constantly when Bosz put him in midfield.
I also don't think he is going to leave Germany this summer.

And Valverde not sacked, another boring and shitty season once again...

Still time for Valverde to get sacked La Liga isn't done yet remember. Allegri going is very interesting, it was rumoured but with all the "top jobs" filled right now maybe a club like Yanited might sack Ole and bring him in even though that would be crazy pressure for Allegri. But who do Juventus get now....Conte? but he was rumoured to have an "agreement" with Inter at the start of this week. Fun times ahead!

there is absolutely no way united sack solksjaer during this off season. ed woodward would look like the biggest incompetent sack of shit
|
there also must be a limit to how many managers utd can pay at the same time. Who is still on their payroll? van gaal and mourinho surely
|
Moyes original contract runs out just about now, however since he has had multiple different contract I assume they haven't been paying him for a while. Van Gaal was apparently never extended so his contract ended soon after they sacked him. So apparently only Mourinho, there would be room for more!
Also on the Jovic news, what an amazing coincidence that once again massive transfer news of Frankfurt is leaked less then 48 hours before a crucial game against Bayern.

Bayern would be perfect, I think they're on him too. You say wasted so you dont believe pepe to be able to reach a higher level than those two? I think he believes that Pepe should go to a to a quality team where he would be a guaranteed regular starter and have a greater chance of fulfilling said potential and or level. Going to Liverpool at this time would not afford him that. Hence, a waste. Both for the player himself and as a general resource. How you managed to reach the that his statement was indicating in the slightest that he cant be better than Salah or Mane is rather baffling tbh. Good players prove himself in training and get chosen by good coaches (which Klopp is a good one). How should the chance be greater at one club or another? You are either a good player or you are not?
Thats a rather naive way of thinking that has little evidence in the general history of the sport to support it. Maybe you know something about Klopp I dont
Im sure Klopp would just go,.. "damn that kids good in training, guess I will bench Salah now.."
But if thats how you think it works then we can agree to disagree.
Regardless none of what you said supports any reason to make the assumption that Willy doesnt think he can be better than anyone or other.

As squad builder he has surpassed all expectations in that respect for a while now.
Clearly does good conventional business though.

So...i think putting it past Woodward is not off the table :D

To be fair De Gea has had a pretty poor season compared to his regular standards. Granted alot of his stats are messed up because United is garbage but even accounting for that Id say hes been sub par to whats come to be expected off him.

Cuz denying they leaked it makes no difference, denying the transfer is happening is clearly them going against Sky who they compete with. Sky UK and Germany say deal is done.

Oh I wasn't saying that they need Pepe specifically. Frankly I think either of those 3 would help, not sure how well Brandt fits tho. I think he is a better fit for Dortmund.

According to spanish news outlets the transfer is done for like a week already, hardly a shocking leak at this point anyways that is going to make Frankfurt crumble.

e: congrats i guess but that could have gone really badly wrong, dropping two spots and staving off relegation by 1 goal

Ribbery finishing off with a 5-1 win, another championship and a goal apiece in their final games, thats nice.
Frankfurt go from 4th and semi final in Europe to 7th and nothing xD
