Forget the exact date It's March 9 yes, March 9th here is a list of important contract dates for various teams. (Interesting read from an agent.)

Gabbert's stats were inflated from all of his bullshit 2 yard checkdown throws on third and long. I think the real issue is that Kaepernick has lost the locker room (to the extent that he ever had it).

for some reason he wasn't one of the guys I saw leaving but I guess it's hard to get a good deal as a RB these days so you might as well take what you can get

I look forward to the Niners getting shit for Kap. Man I hate that idiot so much now. Gabbert is obviously not the answer, but man the offense looked night and day different with someone who can actually read and react to what he sees vs someone who can't handle an NFL offense. I really don't think he's gonna be a reclamation project or anything at this stage in his career. Prior to the 8-8 season, the Niners used him like how the Eagles used Vick when he was successful. The issue is that limiting the offense like that makes it very predictable. And two years of experimenting with Kap trying to do real NFL offense elements, it shows he's probably not capable of much more.

You know someone sucked immense amounts of dick when you hear this after comparing him to Blaine Gabbert of all qbs

You can only run one kind of offense with Kap, and if you stop him from running, you will prevent them from putting up points (this was the same when they were good too). Dude's a straight up bad passer for a number of reasons, all of which existed before Harbaugh's final year. It was just exacerbated by the depleted line and general talent drain

A QB who can't read defenses or throw accurately in an offense that requires the QB to read the whole field pre-snap and deliver short to medium precision passes is just silly. I sincerely hope all the buzz is just smoke and mirrors
