Feels nuts that only 3 1/2 years ago I weighed 67kg and was at a shitty school. Thanks to y'all for the support and banter.

Cheers bros. It's nice to read the encouraging comments; here's to the next 10kg and job. Glad to see that Decaf & Co are still outlifting me by a factor of 5 haha.
If it makes you feel any better, I've only PR'd my squat and CJ by 1kg over the 3 years that you made a fuck ton of gains xD Congrats on all the progress in & out of the gym.
I had my last really heavy Squat session before the state chmapionchip in two weeks. 182,5kg for a real 3RM. Shit was really heavy.
Bodyweight this morning is at 105,7kg, if I don't fuck up I should make it into -105.
Openers are probably gonna be 182,5kg Squat, 120kg Bench and maybe 205kg Deadlift, if I manage to hit a double with that weight tomorrow.
Given that I am on my 3rd antibiotics cycle since February (skin problems), I feel like I am doing ok. I am sure these affect my training, though I obviously cannot measure it.
Finally able to squat pain-free in about a year since about a week ago. Trying to get back into the groove of things, hoping to hit 220kg or higher soon. Did 180kg for a few sets of 6 today and felt pretty decent. Bought a pair of Power Perfects too always wanted these!

Keep us updated man! Interested to see how things go
Have you guys ever gotten like a hip flexor strain? I'm not sure what it's called exactly, but if you sit down and raise one leg up, it's that thick tendon you can feel on the raised leg, near/next to the hip, in front. It's like constantly sore for me, for maybe 2-3 weeks now.
I've been doing forward lunges which help, but I'm not sure if there's anything I should be doing, like icing it? I feel as if I'm constantly flexing it, and thereby making it worse, but I'm not sure how to stop it. It's really annoying because squats are my best movement and I haven't been able to do any for a week just to be safe, but I'm concerned :/
You have many muscles that flex the hip, and can change depending on the position. Sounds like you're referring to the rectus femoris though. Get a lacrosse ball in here: http://www.triggerpoints.net/muscle/rectus-femoris
Holy shit I think that's exactly it. Thanks man!! I've been foam rolling it and that's pretty much all I've got. I'll do that for sure. Thanks so much!
NP. I've dealt with a lot of problems in my day lol. Once you get the muscle to relax and loosen up, the biggest help will be making sure to use your glutes and hamstrings to keep the load off it while squatting. Rectus femoris is a very weak at the bottom of a squat and shouldn't be taking on much load. Strong core and hips to keep your pelvis neutral will help as well.
My last Deadlift training was a disaster. Hit 205kg for a single. That is only 2.5kg below my (normal weight Malinor) PR, but after 195kg for 3 reps just two weeks ago, that's not so good. And it felt and looked terrible. My lower back is just overworked. Nothing much I can do now. The lessons learned from the last few months I can use for the next training cycle :-)
Anyway, if I get 205kg on a horrible, horrible day, I should be fine to hit a PR on a decent day.
Heavy Bench on Sunday coming up and then there is only one really easy week before the competition left.
Fuck me. Anybody ever get a pneumothorax (collapsed lung)? I had one in high school (skinny male), got a chest tube, and it got better. Then doctor neglected to tell me not to get on planes even though I mentioned the trip to them directly, and a couple months into my time in China it collapsed again. That time I just rested it off since I wanted to avoid getting surgery in china.
Anyway, I think I have a small (I say small because it's definitely not nearly as uncomfortable as it was those first two times, but I can definitely still tell) pneumothorax, and I was just wondering whether any of you had experience with them before. I definitely don't want to get surgery so I'm going for the rest route for the time being, but god FUCK it's scary...and annoying, since I'd finally started to gain weight (113 lbs to 131 lbs since the beginning of the year). Vicious cycle, probably shouldn't lift now right? Going to see a doctor in a couple weeks unless it gets really bad, in which case I'll go ASAP, but I wanted to ask you guys about it as well.
