In terms of where the fees are at now though. I still think Zidane's £54million back in 2001 is the biggest of all time (And rightly so of course) back then players were still being raved at £20million and boom Real get Zidane for £54. Falcao/Neymar/Cavani all gone for 50+ which is the "norm" buyout on these big boys contracts.

Not sure about football, but you can read good fiction on as and marca.

Sure Bale is an amazing player, but Madrid are going through far greater lengths than they should for him. Madrid don't even need to spend much on their youth program, because their youth program is already fantastic. They just need to keep their players and not sell them off almost immediately without giving them a proper chance. If Morata is off to Tottenham, that's another talented player gone.
Anyway I'm not even sure if Perez is all that interested in winning stuff and is possibly more interested in boosting the brand "Real Madrid". If you look at the most successful teams across all nations, the most successful teams are teams with home trained talent with a couple of key signings in the mix.
I think Real Madrid usually include a buy back clause in the sale though so they can always buy the talent back cheap if he's actually good.

holy shit, fucking sun is charging for their football news now. Well that's the sun out then.

This year "la Liga" is going to be the worst in many years. Most of the great players that previous years where in other teams (differente to barça and madrid) are out now... Soldado, Negredo, Navas, Llorente, Diego Aspas, Falcao, etc. Madrid got Isco...
Competition is going to suck even more than previous years...

Indeed and it will never change like you say, not when Madrid and Barca take 90% of the TV revenue

Real Spending crazy amounts of money isn't a shocker...They usually get bailed out by the Spanish Govt but isn't Spain in the middle of the financial crisis right now? How do Spanish people feel about their taxes funding Real's Crazy bids ?

They just received 30 billion this month (figure may rise too 100b later), so they can buy another 29 Bales if they want to. Why don't they get this FFP working, I'm tired of paying taxes for this.

Yep La Liga is gonna be a "thing of two teams" yet again, and PL and the new rich clubs get half of the blame, for buying their mid tier team star players.
The other half is the TV money distribution.

The other half is the TV money distribution. Barcelona and Real still have the highest revenues of all football clubs, they could share some of their TV money with the other La Liga clubs and still be competitive in Europe. Instead they choose to throw insane amounts of money at Tottenham and Neymar's father.

Probably quite a smart idea financially, I'm sure if i was a 14year old girl I'd want a Doncaster shirt. Lol.

Lol that's not Madrid and Barça's decision to make. And of course they are two business companies too, not NGO's, so if you ask them they will laugh at your face.
They already open football schools all around the world and help the real poor. Barça's basketball team produces -25M € per year, and it's still open because fuck yeah sports.
Ask Abramovich to help them lol. When asked if the top players earning was absurdly high he answered no, because he wins x100 times that.

So why do you think top Premier League clubs and top Bundesliga clubs agreed to the current TV deals? Because they know that healthy domestic competition helps them out in the long run. Barcelona and Real are not NGOs. However, they should be able to see that they depend on the league they are playing most of their matches in.
