I'm really thankful for what he has done against Real but his attitude goes on my nerves. I'd rather see a 20 year old amateur than sissy every weekend. Or.. let's say 30 but you take Schieber aswell.

It's not like Bale would guarantee Spurs a champions league spot, especially if he himself was eager to move and would lose motivation if they didn't let him go. Having said that, I can't appreciate players signing long contracts and then wanting to get out.

Reus would have been another viable option and may still be in a few years. Paying £100m for a player who just had one good, consistent season is not legit, and never will be. And do you seriously see Bale becoming as good as Ronaldo/Messi or as marketable as them?

Hes also been Tottenhams best player last three years and head and shoulders by a country mile the last two! Cannot wait to see him play for real madrid! Hes easily in top 5 players in the world currently. And just to confirm in the case of £100 million it is far far too much, im just disagreeing with the one good season point ![]()

To repeat what I already remarked before, check the stats, Bale performed just as well as Ronaldo in his last season at Man U. He's got every chance to be the most impactful UK player to play for a European team ever. We have no idea of his true potential but he has a very complete game and he was extremely good last season too. Although the price is extremely, gallingly high, it is a legit buy for certain. It makes a lot of sense even though his true value is about £40-50 million.
