Well Atletico have been doing a great job of bucking that trend and bringing some much needed excitement to a league which traditionally only has 2 games worth watching a year. I hope but fear otherwise that Atletico can keep this going in the years ahead. I don't know where to stand on the Moyes issue half of me thinks he should have been given more time and he inherited a bit of a mess but the results have just been so bad. I don't know. My team Exeter City managed to lose to Torquay who are basically already relegated at the bottom of League 2 which really drops us in it. Its a really irritating game because Torquay have basically been a free win for everyone all season but been one of our local rivals they need no motivation to try and drag us down with them. Exeter have just been just to poor this season and perhaps deserve to go down really. Next games against top of the table Scunthorpe who unfortunately for us are still fighting to win the league out right and actually going to care about beating us. Final game at Hartlepool and results elsewhere is going to decide it I feel. It's pretty tight at the bottom of League 2 as much I fear for Exeter and am starting to think we're down we have 2 points over the 3 teams tied on 47 and it's going to be one from 4 going down really. Maybe if I pray hard enough one of the surrounding clubs will fail to win either of their remaining fixtures and that will be enough for us. I have a big issue with my continuing support of Exeter City whether they be playing league football or not next season. I no longer live anywhere near Exeter so I can't go to the games any more and they play at such a low level that there's no televised games or streams. So I have become completely detached from them, I no longer know any of the players (just keep noticing the ones that used to play for us popping up at other clubs). So basically the only supporting I do is check the score and maybe watch the goals on the football league show. I'm starting to think I should just give up and pick a Premier League team like everyone else TT. I'm in nearly the same situation, I mainly support an amateur club in the village I live in. THey're a league just below the pro's and they're actually pretty good but I can't follow them as well. I don't think I'll ever stop supporting them though I just can't imagine it not being my favourite club.

But Klopp signed a new deal at Dortmund as recently as October and is committed to the Bundesliga club until 2018. And in the hours after Moyes' exit was confirmed Klopp, quoted in The Guardian, said he will not break that contract. "Manchester United is a great club and I feel very familiar with their wonderful fans," he told the newspaper, "but my commitment to Borussia Dortmund and the people is not breakable." Source I hope he's being honest, Loyalty, and respecting one's commitments and contracts is a rare quality in football nowadays, and one that's often looked upon as 'naive'. If he stays at Dortmund his value will increase over the next years, he can get the full recognition of being the trainer that made Dortmund world class. If he leaves now, chances are he wont do as good at his new job (especially at ManU)and he will be stuck in between mid and top level of managers.

Moyes just sucks.
Everyone is applauding his performance at Everton, yet there's a new coach there now and Everton is doing better than ever (without Fellaini). If Moyes was that great, he would at least be top 4 with Man U. He's clearly not good enough for the absolute top.
Not to mention that he had to sack the entire technical infrastructure in the club and bring his own puppets with him. The sacking of René Meulensteen for example who had worked there in forever under Ferguson was as tragical as it was stupid.
The only bad decision Man U made was giving him a 6 year contract.

The job David Moyes did at Everton was absolutely sublime. Martinez has put his ideas on top of the solid foundation built by Moyes, and it has taken Everton to another level.
I agree on the fact that he failed at United, but Im sure he will be back soon enough!

How come ferguson put his Trust in him then? Surely SAF is not less educated about moyes than we are.

Rofl I remember people reporting on the Moyes thing like 2 days ago.
What about the new coach for Barça, I don't think Martino is gonna make the cut. Plus, we need a better signing director or something like that. Zubizarreta is really fucking retarded.

Lol....I'm sure Barca would want either of them.

I just didn't like how tactically inept Moyes was. He pretty much kept the same system since the beginning. I don't ever remember a change of formation even when there was no one to fill the required roles.

Yeah the organization and leadership for Korean football is really bad. I mean, it took a fucking match fixing scandal to make a relegation system. It's amazing how the national team and k league teams in the asian cl manage to do so well. Especially the asian cl, we always have multiple teams in the quarters and semis and it took a Chinese team last year with Marcelo lippi to beat Seoul in the finals last year... On aggregate at that. All the more surprising since no one in Korea cares at all about the k league or the asian cl.

If you think Moyes didn't have an impact on Everton you've never watched any Everton game. Everton is only so strong because Moyes did a damn fine job building that squad. Martinez just put his ideas on a very disciplined and capable squad

Well maybe I worded it a bit strongly but I think most people are overrating his performance at Everton, that's all.

Yeah thats fine, but like Sharkie said, the basis from defense for Martinez in his Everton side was there from Moyes. Distin the 35 year old CB whose pace has not left him, it is remarkable that. Jagielka and young Stones helping out as CB. Then you have Baines and Coleman both Moyes buys who are fantastic pacey LB/RBs. But of course no doubt offensively Martinez Everton > Moyes Everton by a long way xD that is credit to Martinez.

Osman is also a great product of Moyes.

In other news, Barcelona can get new players next summer. They protested against the ban and FIFA can't make a decision before the next transfer window. Punishment might stand, but at least they'll be able to do something about their squad in the upcoming window.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is ready to make wholesale changes for Sunday's crucial clash with Liverpool.
The Portuguese coach will consult the Chelsea hierarchy before deciding which players to field at Anfield, with his preference to opt for those who will not feature against Atletico next Wednesday due to the proximity of the matches.
"I can't decide by myself," Mourinho said.
"I think that's a decision I have to listen the club. I'm just a piece, I'm just the manager and no more than that.
Lololol
