That somewhat describes the Raven's when John came over too.

Someone should hire their sister to see if she has the same coaching magic. I just found out she's married to the Indiana basketball coach who is kind of bring them back into relevance

As a Charger fan, rooting for the Niners. More fun team to watch, an intriguing storyline with Kapernick continuing the Montana/Young legacy, and continuing their undefeated streak in the Super Bowl.
Don't care much about two weeks of ESPN talking about Ray Lewis like he's the greatest person alive and that this is his final game over and over.
Also have never forgiven the Ravens for traumatizing me as a kid by putting on the worst Super Bowl of all-time versus the Giants.

Got dem niners for double or nothin' and made a bet with some guys at work. Paying them double if the 9ers lose.
Here's to hoping Kaepernick showcases his beautiful foot speed and decisive play, and that Justin Smith's triceps doesn't worsen throughout the game.

Man I love me some Harbaugh gifs. Never seen this one before but I think it takes the cake. Looks like he's doing some kind of NSYNC move at the beginning.
Still undecided on who to root for. I'm leaning towards the 49ers right now. Because if they win it makes the NFC west look better I guess. And when the seahawks beat them next year, the victory will feel all the more sweet.

My heart says Ravens, my head says 49ers. I really hope love wins out in the end.

AS much as I hate that kind of talk, I have a soft spot in my heart for Ray Lewis ever since I started actually keeping tabs on football in like 04-05 ish time frame and this is the only reason I plan on watching the super bowl. I want him to go out on top because it's alsways amazing to see a player of his caliber go out like that. I would have said the same about Brett( I really really wanted Tomlinson to leave with one as well) and I will say the same about Brady and Manning even though I am a Dolphins fan and it blackens my soul to admit it about Brady.

Prediction time.
Niners over the Ravens (including Niners to cover -3.5): Undoubtedly, the Niners will be the best team that the Ravens have faced all year. The AFC is just older and weaker. Though the Niners have arguably faced tougher opponents, the Ravens are playing very well right now. Their defense is finally fairly healthy and playing very good football. They did a fantastic job shutting down the Patriots.
However, I am going to say something controversial: I think the Niners may now have the best offense in the league. Without any doubt, it is now by far the most balanced attack in the NFL. If you sell out to defend the run, Kaepernick will torch you with the pass. If you sell out to defend the pass and contain Kaepernick, Gore is going to run the ball right down your throat behind the best O-line in the league. What's scary is that this new offense is just now coming together after starting mid-way through the season when Kaepernick replaced Smith. Imagine what they will be like next year. But back to this game, I just don't think that the Ravens are going to be able stop the Niners from putting up 24+ points absent lots of turnovers.
So that means that the Ravens are going to need to put up some points as well. I don't expect them to be able to run the ball against the Niners. No, they are going to live and die on the arm of Flacco. Now, the Niners D has not been as good since Justin Smith's injury. The pass rush just hasn't been there, allowing elite quarterbacks to have a lot of time to exploit the secondary. Aldon Smith had a much better game against Atlanta than he had in a while. But he was still a little late in getting to Matt Ryan, who really did a number on the Niners with a superhuman effort in the first half of that game. I don't think Flacco and his receiving corps can do to the Niners what the Falcons did with all of their weapons. I also trust the Niners coaching staff to adjust their defense accordingly to fix what went wrong in Atlanta. Still, aside from Akers, the lack of a pass rush is the one thing that should worry Niners fans the most.
Niners 27 - Ravens 20.

Ravens got this I think. Honestly don't really care too much about this super bowl. I don't really like either team, I just hope the game is entertaining.

Nice LR thread! by 4:30 MST on Tuesday the game will be over
|
Yeah it's 2 days out!
My hope is the 49ers. But only because I picked them before the playoffs and want to look smart.
Honestly the way the Ravens are playing right now thought, they look unstoppable. I'm not sure Kaepernick is going to be able to run on them anywhere near as well as he has with other teams, meaning he has to beat Flacco in the air....
|
I want to see the Ravens win but if the 49ers do it should go down like this. Kaepernick gets a concussion in the first drive (by Ray Lewis) and Alex Smith has to come in and be the hero.
|
Ravens! Oh yeah, and bring back decent half time shows!
|
Yay prediction time!! 27-13 49ers!!!!1
|
So can everyone agree Joe Flacco is elite? never missed a start and has won a playoff game since he joined the nfl. 8-4 in the playoffs 6 on the road. Flacco time!
