I had an injury on my right glute, it felt like some sharp pain whenever I did weights (specially squats and deadlift). After 2-3months of resting I can feel that I'm fine, and I'm going to start hitting the gym soon, gonna start slow and increase the intensity and weights as I start.
As I've gotten extremely fat. I seriously hate myself now, I'll start doing some insane HIIT or cardio to speed up the fat burning and start working out well.
What is the general concensous on the cardio stuff? After or before weights?
I'll be doing some of the SS core exercises (press, powerclean, squats, deadlifts) and I'll add from there, maybe front squats (which I love) and some other stuff.
Can't wait to hit the gym and start getting myself back together.
Cheers! After weights. If you are tired your form will suffer and there is broscience out there that says you burn fat faster because your glycogen storages are depleted because of the weight lifiting. Please share, I'm still looking for a way to stretch my hamstrings that I don't hate. It's hard to explain and I couldn't find a picture :/ Gogo epic paint pictures.
haha, good idea, I have to study now but I'll send you an epic paint picture tommorow or something.

I think my biggest problem is motivating myself. Like, it seems to be a great idea to go and exercise, but I don't know how or when. I have a full time job, and going into winter just makes me not want to get up in the mornings. I don't have an area near me that I can go running and more often than not I am just tired in the evenings. I don't eat a lot, so I am slim, but I want to try and build some strength and give myself some shape and muscle. Additionally, last December I injured an inner thigh muscle doing some stretches and such and haven't quite been the same since. Do any of you have any advice on how to motivate myself to get up and go running, or just do anything that will keep me interested and motivated to work out? You can pm me for more info if need be. Thanks in advance <3

"bar goes here" fantastic! I want that t-shirt.
@Osmoses I think that's the back of the shirt, it's for squats.

Thanks in advance <3 I just lift 5x a week but whenever I feel unmotivated I think of who I want to be and what I want to look like. That keeps me on track. I just want to look like Rob Riches so fucking bad I can't let low motivation make me slack on lifting/nutrition for even a moment.

I love lifting. I hate running. I believe for me it's because I need explosiveness and an easy way to track progress. I hate doing planks as an ab exercise, but I love doing weighted sit ups. Regular push ups are boring after the 30th rep, weighted push ups are quite fun. I hate running, but I like sprinting with a stopwatch to try and get faster. Try to find something you enjoy and the motivation will come.

you just have to get out there and do it. it only takes 1 attempt to get into the swing of things and get the momentum going. but for that one first time you just have to throw yourself out there. just ask yourself how fucking difficult it is to try 1 thing 1 time. plan ahead, eat properly and go to bed extra early, do some stretching before bed, then zip into the shower and out the door and break into a jog. 10 or 20 mins later you can stop, but the momentum will be there growing in you already. the trick after that is to not let the fire dim and blow out. taking "breaks" because of video games will rape your motivation back to zero in short time. hi. dont play dota.

oh hell yes is this true. Every time you skip a gym workout, it becomes easier.

Find a friend who's motivated at first. Once you establish a routine, you'll feel weird not to go.
There are always 100 reasons not to do something, but sometimes, you just have to suck it up and do it.

First competitive soccer game of the season and my life. Lost 0-5. Was really fun played full back and realized I could out sprint anyone on their team which was good. Also, my endurance felt good and probably was on the field more than most of my team. Some like 230 lb man probably a foot taller than me somehow ended on my back and I just dumped him back and he slammed on the ground, it was hilarious because im only 160. Also, was sprinting really fast to stop a goal and did stop it, but ended up with a foot in the balls.

Any tips to practise and get better technique wise? Positioning advice etc?
Any tips to get faster sprints/overall better endurance on the field? What can I do strength training wise etc.
Lift your head before/after receiving the ball, always try to know where you're going to pass the ball before you receive it and try to play smart. .
Edit: Started to log my calories on fitday like decafchicken suggested. Gonna be fun. I added all the food I have with me (except dinner, cause I don't know what I will eat) But I'm at 1959kcal so far. not bad If I want to cut?

@decaf: Fuck man, that looks heavy
@decaf's car: Fuck man, how much was that?

Pic 3rd from last is freaking EPIC.

@Decaf
You are throwing things over your head I don't even dare to deadlift lol. That last one is like a deadlift into a squat into an overhead push press or something. Badass.
