Because for an NA player he's really good.
Its the big fish in a small pond scenario. People in NA are willing to support their best players, even if they don't amount to anything in the grand scheme. Nothing wrong with it

That was quick and painless.

They're better than local players, so they win online cups & events

They use foreigner aswell? Didnt think they did because its really a strange way to describe everyone but koreans. But now that I think about it maybe they started using it and we just adopted it? makes more sense

I feel it is more that to them, every non Korean player is a foreigner to the game.

We should say "non-koreans" instead.

Foreigner is natural for Koreans to use. It's a strange word for -us- to use. You have it backwards.

But now that I think about it maybe they started using it and we just adopted it? makes more sense Koreans describe any non-Korean as a foreigner, and even though I live in Canada and technically the foreigner here, it's just part of the Korean language to describe non-Koreans as foreigners. And yes, most of the terminology used today in SC2 are largely adopted from Korean, another example being Kong.

not all asians are midgets D: I never knew that koreans were small compared to other people, I only found that out at the s3 finals. Koreans are only short compared to people of European descent, who are on average taller than East Asians in general, though Koreans are the tallest East Asians on average I believe. Very true. However, the general case of Asians being tall is how well they eat. The younger generations aren't affected too much, but as an AVERAGE it is generally the case that better fed people are taller. I bet the height difference would be much smaller if we got to eat the same way you guys do. (or maybe we would get fat like gyo-po.
