Don't really think EMP is exciting. Lacks that "punch". Storm is only "exciting" due to the screams of the bio units and the feeling of disgust it gives me as a Terran player

worst thing is, if he didn't trap that first set of lings after he took his expansion (the situation where Artosis goes "oh shit now he has to make more if Parting decides to move out" and Tasteless goes "yep, 20 lings in production"), Life would have won.
that was so hard for Parting, i can't belive all these people in here. such a good group, this is starcraft

His first game was just a messed up all in that Parting crushed beautifully with sim city. The 2nd game, Life cheese worked out pretty good and he was ahead, until he threw away like 20 zerglings.

Consistent enough to win five major tournaments in five months, as well.

Obviously he is very skilled but I don't like how cocky he is and I don't think he has the fortitude to win a GSL. I also don't think he was top 2 in that group, just a good day for him I guess. I just don't believe he has it. He can surely beat whoever he wants, but he is one of those people types that never deliver when everyone hopes them to just because it is not their "lucky day". For a moment I thought you were talking about Bomber He delivers ! i promise! And then the world ends. Because the laws of Einstein bomber are broken.

This is indeed the best day of Starcraft 2 history, reminds me some of those epic BW days when I was still young.

SK and ZerO were definitely not considered middle of the roaders when PL moved from BW to SC2. As for mid-tier BW players go. I'm surprised he didn't write MVP. Why? when Mvp was winning everything lots of brood war fans kept telling us he was a low tier B teamer. clearly he wasnt mid tier according to them He was mid-tier for the team he was on (eSTRO). eSTRO had one of the worst line-ups akin to that of Air Force ACE thus MVP at that time would be thrown out on a regular basis where he showed some creativity. He was on the A-Team long enough to be considered very mediocre. Wasn't Mvp woongjin terran???? wtf Yeah, that's why Woongjin Terrans are best Terrans in sc2. yeah. I'd really only count 2. GSLs are the only ones that really count. Still, pretty impressive.

Not sure if you saw the MLG, Iron Squid and second MLG lineup.

Oh wow. Life is out. Didn't watch last set. Too bad.
|
Gosh, can't believe there's so much people complaining despite so many extraordinary games and plays =/ The better players today won, it had nothing to do with balance - the only one exception is probably the 2nd game of innovation/flash, but that's a mirror match anyways.
I'm curious about one thing though, during beta a lot of players complained that TvT was all about massing reapers, yet it doesn't seem to be much of a go to build anymore - why is that? Whenever I've watched TvT, it seems like the player going reapers wins majority of the time, could just be a total coincidence on my part though.

I might agree with excluding Iron Squid, what with it being online and all that. MLG, though? They're miles tougher than the so-called American GSL is right now, and have comparable lineups to Code S.
