Gosh, can't believe there's so much people complaining despite so many extraordinary games and plays =/
The better players today won, it had nothing to do with balance - the only one exception is probably the 2nd game of innovation/flash, but that's a mirror match anyways.

I'm curious about one thing though, during beta a lot of players complained that TvT was all about massing reapers, yet it doesn't seem to be much of a go to build anymore - why is that? Whenever I've watched TvT, it seems like the player going reapers wins majority of the time, could just be a total coincidence on my part though.

The polls should tell you the truth, ~95% enjoyed the games today and 5% idiots, whiners and trolls feels just about right.

They aren't idiots for not enjoying some of the games... they aren't even idiots for complaining about balance (though it is inappropriate)

I enjoyed a few of the games today, but overall thought it was far below what was expected. Parting v Life in series 1 and 2 was pretty good. Flash v Innovation was cool for game 3... kind of. Innovation v Life game 1 was cool. The rest were lame and none of them were really mind-blowingly good imo

Yeah, you're the whiner with unreasonable expectations of 15 mindblowing games in a single day. A couple of good games and a couple of great ones does the trick for me.

Why do people always get so butthurt when people criticize plays and games in a tournament? Just because you enjoyed it doesn't mean its a crime for others to feel differently.

I'm surprised he expected otherwise though, its expected with this group, all 4 are big personalities with big fan bases...

both, I was actually expecting Flash and Parting to go down. Flash, because he is too predictable. Looks like he relies more on his raw mechanics, maybe it is just a impression of course.
Very sad that we've lost two really good players today.

Very sad that ST Life didn't make it out. But it was the best group and there are always winners and losers. Life will finds a way back, on top once again.

Don't really wanna derail anything but this was my first visit to the Gangnam Studio and I am coming home with mixed feelings.

Not because of the matches but because of how some foreigners behaved there. What the hell. I realise they are the outliers because most of the guys and gals there were just sitting there, making cheerfuls and enjoying this vibe they might have longed for for over a decade now. But if those guys were to brag here in this thread I'd call them out and shout banworthy things on their heads.

First and foremost because this isn't an issue of self entitlement but just basic manners. Dude, who the fuck do you think you are to literally strip the pizza out from another guy's hands? Like, really, I don't know if I should laugh or cry. What's wrong with you, jesus.

The second, but apparently much sadder issue I accidentally saw was a group of people making the teary-eyed Flash stop and sign autographs and fucknot. If you really are a fan (and I guess you are why else would you watch a guy's matches and wait there for autographs) and respect the player you are rooting for the last, and least respectful thing you could do is to make him sign your shit and laugh there when he just went 1-4 and is running away, crying and demolished. How huge of a self-entitled fag do you have to be to not realise that just because you had the chance to get to this studio tonight it doesn't make you automatically coolbro how can just do as he pleases. Jesus christ.

The matches were kinda meh, I was watching some baseball with some koreans after the winners match but the overall atmosphere was fantastic. I'd dare to say even better than the Ror0 - someone finals.

Parting crying after his win was a really heartwarming moment he's such a cool dude, eternal respect, really.

Flash is no doubt a great player. Not much to say about his play today. It's one of those days and groups where anyone can win and anyone lose.

However I feel that the only weakness Flash has which is probably the reason for most of his losses is that he is predictable. He wants that 3rd CC asap a bit too often.

We know he can cheese, he has equally great unit control as his macro and should mix it up a little bit more.

47k on twitch which I think is almost double normal for GSL/WCS KR. Usually around 20-25k

How am I whining, lol? And yeah, I expected a bunch of really great games because all four of these guys are really great players. And considering this was billed and hyped as the greatest day of SC2 ever, I definitely wanted great games.

Almost every day in the GSL will give you a couple of great ones and a couple of good ones. Hence, the idea that what I got was far below what I expected. I'm not crying about it, I'm just a little disappointed. Take a second to chill before you get all aggro because some people disagree with you lol.

edit: and it's not ridiculous to say that none of the games were mind-blowing when they have like a 99.9% recommendation rating with 400 people voting on them. That would usually lead someone to believe that they were off-the-hook amazing, and imo they weren't. Some of them were really cool, but others were just overhyped.

Then tell me what exactly makes a great/amazing/mindblowing game and list a few.

I like what I saw today. I liked the dynamics of the Parting-Life series, I like the pace of Innovations bio play vs Flash, I'm amazed by the constant battle between Life and Innovation, I think that Parting's come-back vs Flash was exceptional.

This does the trick to me and makes up for a great day. I just accept the fact that in SC2 timing attack sometimes either works out or fails hard and the game kinda ends there. TBH, I wouldn't watch 15 split-map amazing macro games (think MVP vs Squirtle on Metropolis) if someone paid me.
