That's assuming there will be plenty of seeds for Koreans in other regions. The most deserving are staying in Code S and the rest rarely plays abroad. Look at the top 50 of NA GM. Now tell me if Revival, JYP, Oz etc won't be offered some of those 24 seeds if they declare that they choose NA as their region. Why should they? Seeds should be distributed according to accomplishments in the region or top 50 seeds would always go to Koreans.
The way they made it, they better give seeds to players deserving. Koreans are superior and if you 'FORCE' them to switch region, because you screwed them to begin with, you better give out seeds to them. Ofcourse there is no measurement for 'skill' in giving out seeds, but seeds usually go along with common sense. Why would you invite a rather successful NA player when the Korean you could invite is easily superior and would be not just more successful but also more entertaining in terms of games?

And none of them even knew how screwed they were until a week ago. Anyone who has the chance to will take a seed into Code S in another region to keep up on points and get a chance at some big money for the regional and seasonal finals. That's standard Blizzard for you.

I don't blame him as its his best shot as progamer to earn money, which is completely reasonable. I said I disrespect the bold statement he made according to stay in Korea, because he doesn't care about the money and just wants to proof how good he is. It was nothing but empty talk for that matter. I get along with him well, I support him and I understand his decision, but maybe next time you put thought into it, before making such a bold statement ;-) He had said that the WCS ruined his plans on twitter. Also, a quote from his fanclub thread: Show nested quote +On April 09 2013 23:59 Naniwa wrote:i went on a big rant ? i just thought the idea was pretty bad for alot of people. personally i would like nothing more than to play GSL, but to sacrifise a WCS europe seed, for the sake of playing the code a QUALIFIER. that would be very stupid. I am not some person who just charges on without logic and only by heart like some of you think heh. i used to be alot more hot blooded in the past. but i dont say things i dont mean very often. i am still going to go to korea after WCS europe to continue practising I am not giving up hope of becoming the best i can be. if i did i would say so and i probably wouldnt play the game anymore sorry to those i dissapointed.
As said, fully reasonable and understandable decision. I am happy he at least sticks with Korea as his training place. Thanks for quoting, didn't know

If I was Nani, I would probably just stay in Korea and try to get into StarTales house again or something similar. Code S preparation won't be done better outside of Korea. Lag is an issue, but with the best help in the world? it should be fine.

Lag from KR to EU is really bad, I can't even imagine playing in an important match with lag as protoss. It's such a fragile race in the early game if you miss a forcefield you might just be dead.

Notable players eliminated might also include EG.JYP and Aphrodite.

How does it invalidate any point of regional seperation? Your point would invalidate and nearly 'ban' based on origin (as mentioned in another thread). How can a player living and playing in Korea potentially be more accomplished in NA than a player from NA could be? Its flat out excusing and counting out the Koreans.
Also, if certain Koreans come over, they are MORE accomplished in MLG, NASL. .. and what not. What do you want to count towards achievements? Playhem Daily?

They should really let KeSPa handle the commercials, their production for intros & such is so much better, even though the small GSL add is not bad
