Feel sorry for that, because I think its exactly the mentality that gets you far. yeah pretty sure he changed his mind and is gonna be in EU.
That's disappointing. I'm not a Naniwa fan and I was impressed with his decision to stick with Korea. Good luck to him nonetheless

Can you guys blame him for not taking a seed into Code S EU? You would have to be pretty dumb to refuse that. Even if Naniwa tried to qualify for GSL instead he wouldn't have any chance of participating in season 1 regionals and finals. It's the same reason so many Code B/A Koreans are going to take seeds to WCS NA/EU because if they don't they're totally fucked.

I can understand not wanting to stick around if you gets locked to the harder league. Besides its probably easier to live in europe then in korea when it comes to comfort and such

It's the logical choice obviously. But wanting to stay in korea to make it back up to Code S is huge balls

The thing with Koreans in Code B who are on foreign teams, is that even if they qualify they miss out on the first season because they need to go through the Code A before they can play in Code S, whereas if they just pick NA or EU, they'll get invited directly into Code S and have a chance to make it into the season finals, as well as get a lot more points towards the world championship at Blizzcon. Then there's the side benefit of much easier competition.
Not to mention foreign teams probably wouldn't mind their Korean players promoting their sponsors in their own region.
I think it's very likely that all of EGs Koreans chose NA, and that's why Suppy was ranting with that long blog post.

Blizzard making GSL Season 2 Code S the first season of WCS KR is seriously one of the worst decisions they have ever made, if you're in Korea and not in Code S this season you're completely screwed for the first WCS season.
And none of them even knew how screwed they were until a week ago. Anyone who has the chance to will take a seed into Code S in another region to keep up on points and get a chance at some big money for the regional and seasonal finals.

I dislike that none of them are Open tournaments.

That's assuming there will be plenty of seeds for Koreans in other regions. The most deserving are staying in Code S and the rest rarely plays abroad.

Not appropriate language for teamliquid. Stop player bashing. You are free to not like him but insulting him is not a good choice.
