And none of them even knew how screwed they were until a week ago. Anyone who has the chance to will take a seed into Code S in another region to keep up on points and get a chance at some big money for the regional and seasonal finals. Even if Naniwa tried to qualify for GSL instead he wouldn't have any chance of participating in season 1 regionals and finals. It's the same reason so many Code B/A Koreans are going to take seeds to WCS NA/EU because if they don't they're totally fucked. I don't blame him as its his best shot as progamer to earn money, which is completely reasonable. I said I disrespect the bold statement he made according to stay in Korea, because he doesn't care about the money and just wants to proof how good he is. It was nothing but empty talk for that matter. I get along with him well, I support him and I understand his decision, but maybe next time you put thought into it, before making such a bold statement ;-)

I think he mentioned that they were started to be annoying on battle.net as well. So it might not just be limited to Twitch -- its probably just general dumbness. CELLA?

The popular Koreans with good finishes in the past are the ones being offered seeds and they're all going to take them, there won't be a huge number of them but it will be most of the good players not in Code S this season. Then for the next two WCS KR seasons we're going to be missing a large number of competitors who could have potentially made it in.

Mass ban jerks = less stream viewers is probably the reason. I dunno I never look at twitch chat. It's even worse than ZvX LR threads at the end of WOL

Look at the top 50 of NA GM. Now tell me if Revival, JYP, Oz etc won't be offered some of those 24 seeds if they declare that they choose NA as their region.

For that matter, even in my times where I didn't get along with Naniwa (and that was a long period haha) I always respected him as a progamer and human in his decisions (related to gaming) so yes, I did believe it wasn't just babble, thats why I'm disappointed in it even though its fully reasonable and a logical decision.

Why should they? Seeds should be distributed according to accomplishments in the region or top 50 seeds would always go to Koreans.

It makes sense for the lower tier and even some of the Code S to go for the WCS NA-EU The prize pool is relatively the same. And then if you get enough points (which would be ALOT Simpler in these regions) you have a chance for even a greater prize pool. Like...the opportunity costs is easily overcome

Blizzard is offering them seeds because they want some Korean players in each region. We can only guess at the reasons for them wanting that although officially they say It's because they don't think foreigners can catch up if they only play amongst themselves. And really can you imagine WCS NA without Korean players? I don't think there are even 32 pro gamers in NA.

Koreans have dominated MLG, NASL, and other major tournaments for as long as we can remember. What other "accomplishments in the region" could legitimate NA guys have over Koreans?
