Okay that is a point and actually I have not. However the tournament "must" run over two days. So because of this must the final 16 bracket tree be completed in probably shorter time then this first ro64 takes. Which result in the semifinal being a bo3 single elimination.

So what can happen, and did happen with Hero at DH summer, is that a player goes undefeated in the tournament and then loses 2-1 in a mirror in the quarter/semifinal. Hero was 20-0 maps before so his total result was 21-2 in the tournament and then he got exactly 0$. Besides is it really boring, say that theStC and Nerchio goes up in a semifinal. That is likely to be the best match of the tournament, anything less then a bo5 is underwhelming. And if it is a bo3 system there should be a lower bracket.

I actually do not get it because it is stupid on several layers. First a lot of low quality/unimportant matches are taking air time from the second group stage and the 16 bracket. Fewer people are watching the first group stage and therefor are the fewer viewers total and thus less income. Second is it just Booooring. Third is it less fair, the fact you can get knockout in a bo3 mirror after winning the first 20 maps and thus have win record above 90% is bullshit.

Have something else, have a small tournament before with only BYOC people and have the top 4 seeded into a group play or have more online qualifiers or most other things than this.

It's a true open tournament. What you are suggesting with the seeds would make it a hybrid, like Winter is gonna be.
If you have a problem with too few high end players on the first day try to convince your favourite teams to send someone next time.

TLO had one good tourney lately, he still has a lot to proof. Fraer is slaying opponents left and right at EGMC, NightEnD has proven time after time, that he can beat compete with koreans (wins against Taeja, 3-0ing Puma) and Nerchio is probably the best player in this tournament. Fraer is 5-1 in series in EG Master's Cup, he beat Nerchio, HasuObs, NightEnd, Thorzain and JonnyRecco (2-0 against everyone but Nerchio who took a game) and lost to Kas.

Are you seriously saying Rain is better than Fraer atm.? His last achievment was about one year ago, he has about 100 elo less with recent losses to Grubby, Sheth, Sase, Strelok...

4-0 in IPL

I did say Team Leagues. Also. Like the other guy said, using elo as part of your argument not such a great thing to do.

His GSTL wins were against Sirius, Brave and Salvation, his IPL wins were against Western wolves and he has a worse EGMC record than Fraer. He did nothing, a decent eurpean could´nt have done as well.

The same Sirius who beat MMA last week who's a Code S champion, you're not making a great point with that

Fraer defeated GoOdy, who also defeated MMA. Transitive skill does not exist.

Now you're just making outrageous comparisons - MMA was in Code S this season and he got annihilated by Sirius, and you only brought up the NSH players cos you don't actually know them, Salvation is pretty ok for someone who recruited via the Ladder the old-school way.
