The Koreans that go to MLG have the same problems!! They still crush!

Can't say I'm surprised at all at the results considering the record.

Because in MLG, the koreans do so well, you don't actually have to do well in the tournament to get the code A spot. I think that either the code A spot is capped at the top 8, or, let Koreans coming through the open bracket get the spot. It is too unfair on the Koreans for mediocre foreign players to get a free ride into Code A by doing mediocre in a tournament.
Yea I find it odd especially considering the fact that the exchange program doesn't take spots away from foreigners in MLG (since they just add in spots) while it does for GSL.

grr i just woke and checked the result -> FACEPALMING now...

Foreigners so far behind now, just completely owned by Koreans Some of our strongest players, losing.

Basically people want SC2 to be international, not just a Korean game - GOM and Koreans included. Sacrifices are made to attempt to achieve this goal.
I think it's pretty obvious that by merit it's all Koreans everywhere all the time.
I'm actually really surprised at how fast we're reaching (reached?) a similar point to BW, where foreigners are just completely hopeless against Koreans.

It's the producers deciding on these things for the viewership and the average non-famous aspiring Korean player that doesn't have much a choice that's making the sacrifice he doesn't want to.

Oh man seeing the results makes me sad. : (

That's true, but remember that ultimately players are at the mercy of the viewers (more directly sponsors, and they care about viewers), so their interests and the viewers coincide in the long term. It's definitely very unfortunate for guys like Sage or Puma who obviously deserve to be in GSL, but I believe the sacrifice is still a good choice.

Didnt get a chance to watch the games, did any of the guys put up a good fight or were they all roll-overs?

This is why I find it hard to be disappointed with the results today, with the exception of Jinro's loss.

It was a good day for my Liqbet atleast ^_^

foreigners hwaiting!!! just kidding!!

Well that sucked. And no Boxer on top of that. Guess Huk and Funited is lest to look forward to atelast.

Nooo! My Liquibets O_O. Never again shall I ever doubt a Korean. But really these games made me really sad today.

None of the foreigners impressed me much today. I have seen all off them play better. I'm so disappointed.

And so Nani is our best foreigner? It's HuK. He is all alone "up there" might need idra to come back :D Nani is way better than IdrA, so IdrA wouldn't be able to win anything in Korea now. Idra is the only foreigner with results in the GSL. Jinro has come closest with a Ro4 showing in the GSL, but idra had consistency crazy foo Are you seriously retarded? IdrAs GSL results: Top 32 Top 16 Top 8 Leaves Korea My GSL results: Top 4 Top 4 Top 16 Top 32 Code A Code A Code B I dunno how the hell you can say IdrAs results in GSL are anywhere close to mine, especially when I beat him in GSL 4-1 --; IdrAs is most definitely better than me now but his GSL results are not, no fucking way. He qualified for the first seasons though Shouldnt the IdrA hype be over soon? the only thing he's done well in since god knows when is the IPL, and we all know that the quality of players in there is not anywhere near most other big tournaments. IdrA doesnt deserve too much hype, but he doesnt deserve too much hate either - he has had very solid showings at the MLGs even though he didnt win... He just has those stupid games where he kills himself or "very solid" might have been "very impressive". I'll put it like this; in my opinion you should get recognized because you are super good, like Beckham, Zlatan, Yourself or Sen. Not because you're rude to people. I simply don't understand why he's so popular, when he does not have particularly good results along with a "bad" attitude.
No offense to Jinro but would you seriously call Jinro better than IdrA? I mean they're different races but ATLEAST in the current state I can't see you ranking Jinro above IdrA?
And no, I don't hate Jinro, in fact I love him ...

This is not valid. The players knew for a long time they would be playing and GOM is more than generous to the foreigner players (charity spots in Code A, free accommodation etc) they could have come much earlier and been prepared.

As these games show, it's very difficult to compare people in different scenes. Jinro is struggling, but that is in the best scene around. And IdrA is hardly setting anything alight in a much easier scene anyway.
