Not because it's a bad result in and of itself, but because you lose your code A spot, and we all know how goddamn hard it can be to win that spot. yeah but that code A spot isn't worth a whole lot if you aren't at a level where you can actually compete in code A..

What does TSL, "online" (assume you're referring to latency issues) or having days to prepare have to do with the actual game itself?

Because in MLG, the koreans do so well, you don't actually have to do well in the tournament to get the code A spot. I think that either the code A spot is capped at the top 8, or, let Koreans coming through the open bracket get the spot. It is too unfair on the Koreans for mediocre foreign players to get a free ride into Code A by doing mediocre in a tournament.

Itheyl play for whatever the hell name WMF got now together with Moon and shizzle Also Naniwa stated that he is willing to give upe verything in an interview so I doubt he will leave Korea.

In foreign events, yes. But the competition and the seriousness of foreign pro-gaming is just now really taking off, and we see IdrA's results decline. Although he's doing well in the IPL, which has some pretty good competition for season 2, so he deserves credit for that. In Korea Jinro has been far superior though. I do think however that his attitude is what is most disturbing about his attention. I can not, however much i want to, understand how you can support and publicly be a fan of someone that calls people the things he does, and lacks as much respect for the competition as he also does. The only guy i recall IdrA not talking crap about besides his teammates is Ret. And they are longtime friends.

Doesn't "congratulations Naniwa, for your 8th place finish you get into code A", and then you see people like Puma, Boxer, Hack, Sage, Seal, and 20 other more deserving Koreans stuck in code B. Because in MLG, the koreans do so well, you don't actually have to do well in the tournament to get the code A spot. That would have sucked if MMA didn't get what he deserved.

In his defense however, he does seem to have a genuine interest for the game. I just think it would help so many casters to learn to how play rather than casting mindlessly.

Probably because of the Blizzard EU invitational... But I think that was what cost them Code A. 20+ hour flight, 10 timezones, really? You have to get your priorities right... do you want to win some money from minor EU tourneys, get a vacation in Korea and continue with your life or be the best? Despite all the talk I think it's the former... They even had an example in FXO, who did the same mistake, but just after several weeks they improved drastically! I'm really disappointed because Thorzain/Naniwa have so much talent and I'm certain they'll get even better but getting out of Code B is almost as hard as winning Code A. ![]() Yeah when I read their interviews I saw that coming. I was really surprised when they said they didnt really have time to practice that much and they were just coming off their flight to play a day later.
