Dongraegu being true to his words during the interview. It's apparent that his confidence displayed during the interview is warranted.

wow, woke up, saw the results, and just felt like crying. I suppose the BW style korean dominance is now truly upon us, and this already big gap is only gonna get wider

Honestly the actual foreigner lineup at MLG is good, but not the very best possible.
Some of the players who are capable of beating koreans are not attending.
For example Nerchio, Thorzain, Tarson and Sase, so I'm not suprised by todays results.
And I have the feeling that there is not only a gap in skill, but even more so a mental blockage of foreign players. They have too much respect for the korean players.

I love how during the matchup DongRaeGu vs HuK, votes favored HuK 40% to 60% on "Who do you think will win", which shows how underrated DRG really is.

DRG isn't overrated. http://www.teamliquid.net/poll/ He's been winning this poll long before MLG began.

Your argument has been silenced during Dreamhack Summer so stop beating the dead horse as this discussion has been beaten to death since MLG Columbus or even before that. I don't think its as bad as it was with BW right now, but it is going in that direction.

Its already almost as bad. Every korean in groups is 3-0, even boxer, who is acknowledged as the weakest korean at this event, cant be touched by NA players.

there's always been argument like this
not player a or b or c is coming etc etc

dreamhack, homestory, columbus has shown all of the above is not yet at the korean level
except nerchio, i cant remmember him playing against korean in a big tournament

As for Foreigner vs Koreans:
The rather stupid MLG-system makes sure that some of the strongest foreign players atm are stuck in open while some rather weak are in pool play and gets matched vs the Koreans.

I wouldnt use mlg to gauge how good players are relative eachother, or foreigner vs koreans, since the system is unsportsmanlike and unfair.

But I predict that if the players that move up from open is not mentally exhausted they will do very well against both foreigners and koreans from the pool play.

This is really funny. There's always some excuse. We saw in Dreamhack how Europe's best do against the Koreans.. not so hot.. Naniwa is supposed to be one of the best, 2 MLGs in a row now he's getting absolutely destroyed by Koreans, the games are not even close. The only foreigner to give Koreans any challenge, is one who lives in Korea and trains in the OGS house...

Well in naniwa's defense he was having issues with lags (so were his opponents) and his keyboard which played a lot into his mental state.

But there shouldn't be an argument against the domination of Koreans versus foreigners after all the tournaments we had so far. It is pretty clear that training in Korea is superior.
