Won't be long though another year and it will just be KSL again with maybe one or two die hard foreigners hanging on. Foreigners just don't have the drive or backing to compete with koreans. Huk may have won dreamhack but only cause he has been living and breathing SC with KOREANS for the last few months. Most foreigners get jobs and don't get support to play so have to rely on practicing between "life" and that means they honestly don't have the time to practice on the level they need to to really compete. Sad really. Esports will never be Esports for real in the western world.

Wow, NA players could be as little as 20% next season, at least we will have better games.

Cream of the crop....anyways, the foreigner count will be maintained by those in Europe and stuff. I don't mind that there's no NA players, even though this is hosted in NA.

Most foreigners that are trying to be progamers have real jobs/part-time jobs that they have to do along with SC2, so it takes away from practice time. Idra is on salary practicing 3 hours a day. Tyler is on salary, how much do u think he practices? The problem is that management in the west refuses to hold foreigners to a schedule like most jobs in the entire fucking world do. It is extremely frustrating, you can see the results in Huk, more foreigners need to follow his lead. It also doesn't help that EG has been preaching this "korea is not the place to be" bullshit for several months now.

Unless a single (non-married) pro is pulling at least 20k a year for a salary, it would be extremely difficult to make ends meet.

I don't think you understand how real life works. So how can the koreans do it without salary? So why are the foreign salaried players not practicing a minimum of 40 hours a week? I work 40-50 hours a week on salary, when I hear pros saying they practice 3 hours a day it disgusts me.

He clearly pointed out two players who do NOT have to do some sort of job to support themselves. Starcraft IS their job. Perhaps starting up is more difficult, but nothing prevents the top foreigners from grinding away like the Koreans aside from sheer will. This really boils down to your seeming bitterness at not having the same opportunity. Unfortunately, talent can't be achieved through talking.

Koreans don't have jobs/part-time jobs they have to do along with sc2? Or matter of fact anyone else in the world that is a pro-gamer. Your just making up bs, think before you speak. Your acting like people in Korea have nothing else to do besides gaming. I don't understand all this talk about the NA scene that people want to do good and become a great pro gamer but can't due to certain reasons... job, life, etc... If you want to become a pro gamer and win the big money and sponsors than you better put 100percent into it instead of doing it half ass.

Perhaps starting up is more difficult, but nothing prevents the top foreigners from grinding away like the Koreans aside from sheer will. This really boils down to your seeming bitterness at not having the same opportunity. Unfortunately, talent can't be achieved through talking. yeah...i'm just gonna re-quote myself. It must be great to be a forum warrior and not understand anything about the scene or how money works in real life. This is the last i'll post about it, but i'll try and explain. You see, in the real world, you need a place to live. And to get that and maintain it you need money. And for that you need a job. And a job takes time. Also, a large percentage of players are young and go to college, and college also takes money, loans, payments. I do not understand this world you live in where non-korean players all are billionaires, please show me the way, or if you have a dollar bill tree around your house, please tell the aspiring pro-gamers on these forums to take a load off of their backs so they can dedicate more time to practicing instead of earning money so that they can have...you know, food and a place to live and those things. All I was saying in my original post about this stuff is that obviously the korean players are going to be dominating these tournaments a large percentage of the time because they live in team houses with very few expenses and can focus on practicing...all of this is already known, but then some forum warriors had to come in and pretend like every non-korean out there is just not working hard enough...they are...trust me. They're working their asses off at jobs + practicing as much as possible and it's pretty insulting for you to think that foreigners "just aren't working hard enough." I'm being preachy and probably wasting my time, but you guys need some perspective. If you want to argue that the few already established non-koreans that have team-houses, or salaries and can focus 100% on practice+progaming are not practicing hard enough...then yeah, I would agree with you on that. And it's quite sad that they aren't as there's a ton of other people that want to be in that enviable position.
