I'd actually like to know Nazgul's opinion. At the start of SC2 most of us expected Korea to be the country of Starcraft as it used to be in SC1. However, things changed and ESPORTS in the rest of world developed lot more than we expected, whereas in Korea it developed far less. Of course, GSL is the hottest league in the world with agruably best players in the world, but that's about it. What you gonna do when you're once out of the league... You're going to try again to get into the league. Giving up is not the answer... -_- The TL team will rise once again. It's all on Huk's hands now.
Chris Loranger, I am praying for you :3

Keep your Chinro up Jinro!

Group 1 went exactly as I would have liked... but not Group 2

I don't think they would do this any time soon. But to be fair, they can't.. least not at the moment. The problem is that if they remove themselves from the scene, then they never will and it will only create another BW-like division in skill between the Korean scene and the international scene.
There are a few differences I would like to point out in this statement. Firstly, Brood War was wildly more popular in Korea than worldwide as an esport; the reverse seems to hold true with Starcraft 2. As a result, I don't believe there will ever be a massive BW-esque schism in skill -- unless there is a wholesale transfer of progamers from Brood War to SC2.
Keep in mind that the Koreans with the most success in the GSL have been, quite frankly, average A-teamers (MVP for Woongjin) to old-school legends who no longer even started for their respective proteams (July, Boxer, Nada, etc.) to players who had mediocre to downright bad progaming careers (MC, just about everyone who isn't from WC3). Putting aside S-class players of the Taek-Bang-Lee-Ssang ilk, if more players of even MVP's caliber joined the SC2 scene, it would look vastly different. Until then, it's reasonable to expect foreigners to compete adequately with Koreans... at least in SC2.

what he did to San in Code S with the banshee was brilliant, can you imagine something like that with maruders siege tanks.
just think about it. with your maruders and seige tanks you'd only have to hold positions because of how much more robust it is. and if your a little more careful with a sky army you could do poke/yamoto harrassment.
And what about anti-air?

i like it, more zergs in code s is prolly a good thing (i dont play z!) and jinro playing like he does he isnt code s material in my eyes

I would love to see Jinro/HuK in more international events, that would be great.

The game is less than a year old. How old is SC BW? Haha give it time

i dont understand why all the hype about huk and junro started anyway. plz correct me if im wrong but both of them only have one big tournament win under their belts ( both mlgs so no koreans were there to compete) and ever since most map imbalance was removed jinros tvz has been in a slump. i havent seen his tvt in quiet some time the last i saw was him being manhandled by marinkeing. saying he was the best foreigenr is i think wrong with idra having more tournament wins against korean and foreigenr competitio. (mlg, kotb against tester who was at teh time probs the ebst in the world, and ipl)

If you're going to rest the fate of your team on HuK's play, you might be suicidal. HuK is known for choking.

A lot of Jinro's fans came with his very high placement for two seasons in a row and just being a really nice guy. Rp4 in GSL is insanely good. Since then, he's just fallen off.

I think it was more he'd stay till he lost the Code S status, nothing about what he'd do after he lost it

not 2 forget that huk needs to play mkp and mma which are both better by a margin and hes only got one try. i think he should just all in cheese the first agme and go super risky econ build second game his only chance to win is goign into those games with an advantage imo.
mlg is laong time ago and at that time u could win with mothership rushes...
hope he makes it

Well, Jinro is the ONLY foreigner who made it to the GSL semifinals, TWICE. He also beat MC. TWICE. IN A ROW. USING MECH.
He may be in a slump, but he is still one of the best foreigners.
HuK on the other hand has gotten a lot of popularity from his playstyle. No one is saying he is the best player out there, but hes fun to watch and a cool guy.
And don't even get me started on IdrA.

If Jinro can't make it in an easy group what chance does Huk possibly have in a much harder group?
Jinro's play today was filled with holes, very disappointing.

What is there for you to start on? He's easily one of the best players in the world and no matter how much of a dick he can be, he's a great player.

Jinro hasn't looked that solid lately. Still, Code A is not a death sentence by any means, and if he returns to his old form he could be back in Code S in a month.
And man does PvP suck...

What a troll. This guy probably has another TL account and I hope the mods find it ASAP.

seems like idra got out while getting was good not to mention every week there are tens of thousands of dollars to be had in the west vs. just one big GSL in the east with almost zero chance of winning.

on pvp sucking i actually think its not coin toss whatsoever unless u cheese its all about eitehr scouiting and mindtricks or about who micros better whenits 4v4 gate or any other mirrorbuild. in zvz the build orde rloss usually occurs before scouting is possible. i.e 15 hatch vs speedling expand or 6 pool vs 15 hatch
