He doesnt have the money to do it all at armory. Voids problem is they clump up and get decimated by splash in addition to vikings and rines shooting at them. Mass immortals problem is half get decimated by cannon right at the start, and you can't carry a good retinue with them due to supply issues, then his support troops and thors mop up the rest. | ||

Wouldn't it make more sense to just make more carriers instead? Phoenix and interceptors do have AWESOME attack upgrades vs vikings...if my math is correct they go from +5 to +6 with air +1. That's a 20% boost in firepower which is insane considering that blizzard loves to have the upgrades gravitate toward 10% each. | ||

V mass thor the protoss player wants to play the upgrade style though, ie expand everywhere, harass everywhere, all the while building up a slow advantage, either through tech (carriers) or upgrades. | ||
