I love it. The desert tile set is under used. I'd take Desert Oasis just to see it over all the dark maps like Xel Naga and Shakuras... I hate those maps' tile sets.

Beating steppes of war doesn't make it good

SjoW with a barracks at the ramp again with no gas. SjoW scouts with an SCV after the barracks!
TT1 with two gates and one assimilator.

I must admit that my reaction was the same as yours to this comment,
Then I tabbed back to the game and the only thing in the game was one of the players saying "but who cares".

SjoW starting his command center and getting his first gas.

hahahahaha Oh god. Such insight.
Love Sjow's TvP. Wish more non korean terrans were going bio mech heavy.
Hey, melee units are devastating in TvP. Zealots are important!

Disagree strongly. I really don't understand on what basis people hate this map. There is huge potential to go to very dynamic late-game situations with action all over the map as players try to secure their 3rd+ base.

i clicked pop-out video and my stream is in 1080p for some reason lol.

Actually, though I don't like it, Moon vs Grubby on this map was INSANELY GOOD.

He used some creative thinking, misdirection and relentless pressure and the protoss fell apart piece by piece. It was awesome to watch even though as a protoss player (and a gsl fan) I was rooting for Artosis I was inspired and happy to watch such strong Zerg play.
Then we had Idra at dreamhack Vsing the BEST protoss in the world and using the same basic principal of endless pressure had him on the ropes in a massive way. Idra lost that game because he made a big mistep but In such a high calibre game against a player like MC you lose if you make a misstep regardless of race ect.
My point is, Zergs are making so much noise about it being unfair that they can't sit back for 20mins and then A move the protoss with a 200 army. Well maybe thats because protoss is simply a better race to play like that? When Zerg plays with Aggression, misdirection (tech switches ect) and relentless pressure they do SOOO much better.
Sheth had a 50-100 food advantage over Artosis for most of those games didn't he? And Artosis was mostly 2 bases and didn't build the same composition in the same way at all. Not that I disagree, but it's not completely the same.
That said this series was just poor play by Darkforce, way too passive, way too few infestors, and not good engagements with them. With the way Cruncher just brazenly goes VR/Col right away DF should know enough to do... uh anything. At the very least mass infestors or something earlier and at least attempt to deny the 3rd.
There's an argument to be made along with what most zergs are complaining about it, but DF vs Cruncher isn't a good example of it, other than maybe that it's so successful that it's DF's only strat apparently.

I don't think it's all that ridiculous. I would compare it to baseball. A sport where they play so many games that a loss gets buried in a lot of statistics. They have 8 more series to play after this. That's a lot of games. A loss won't be felt so hard until you get closer to the end of the season.

Finally realized Sjow's name is being said as "show." I always had said his name as Es-jow in my head since Sj does not compute.

Banjee or banjee boy is a term from the 1980s or earlier that describes a certain type of young Latino, Black, or multiracial man who has sex with men and who dresses in stereotypical masculine urban fashion for reasons which may include expressing masculinity, hiding his sexual orientation and attracting male partners. The term is mostly associated with New York City and may be Nuyorican in origin. Attitude, clothing, ethnicity, masculinity, physique and youth are all elements of what has been called "banjee realness". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banjee
That is what a banjee is.
