If you don't think $20 per season is worth it, don't pay for it and don't expect to watch it. GOM will understand that message very clearly.

Thanks for the links, Glad i could watch all of Artosis's games.

Sadly if they offer shitty quality (low resolution VOD's, no dedicated observer for english cast) people will do what it takes to get the best quality available (korean vod's dubbed with english cast).

I guess you're right, maybe after a few months they'll lower the price or make sure the VODs are HQ. Or maybe they'll be satisfied with their audience as it is and won't change anything. I think it's fair enough to settle with the live streams, just hope they don't shut those down if their $20 policy doesn't work as expected.

You mean the company that at first wanted to give it for 50$, then 20$ for low quality. Yeah right. I can afford it no problem, but I won't because I pay things that I think are worth it. 10$ i would have paid or 20$ for better quality, replays and maybe more than a month, some behind the scene or shit. In its state no way... and I don't care about them not having foreigners money I would not be surprised that with Korean TV audience, peripheral sells, increase of general audience to the channel, and foreigners tickets they should really get enoug money to make some profit now or in an early tournament. One might argue though that when you see how their marketing team proposed a 50$ ticket... they might be completly stupid and they won't make any profit in the end because of too much expenses. But I don't care, this is not a charity, I won't give them 20$ for a product that is not worth it. Meanwhile I watch Korean version, plagued with chinese advertising... therefore increasing some chinese company revenue for a korean event. Could have been for gretech. P.S. : and for english commentary, really from what I have seen Tastosis are funny and somewhat entertaining but I'm not learning anything and some comments are rather clueless or just obvious. Maybe if it had jp + d9 quality i would have craved to have them but right now they need to step up.

The page is setup with two ro32's, which can be easy to miss if you don't scroll all the way down.

Go to "LEAGUE", at the top. find Starcraft 2 After you go there, there should be a section called "Schedule" with all games and the day they were played Regarding value, It might not be worth 20$ to some people, but definitely worth $20 to others. We should all just agree that we don't know each others' utility curve to the penny. I paid for the season, not sure if I have to pay for the remaining 2 tournaments of the year, but I don't regret my decision for a second. VOD quality is fine. It's not HD but still better than many streams, and the quality of play I've seen so far seem better to me than MLG/IEM.

Sir, you just won a Internet ^^ I honestly support GOMTV in charging money from the start. Better to do it early and let people pirate if they want to, then to build a community on free bandwidth and loans, then when they decide to charge, everyone protests and you can't win no matter what you do. Most of the people playing and watching SC2 are 20+ (for now?), with jobs and incomes. Hopefully they can get enough subscribers to make it a viable business. If not, better they find out sooner then later and shut it down.

#1 I wouldn't pay more than 2 dollars to watch these (frankly poor quality) vods of people playing starcraft. I already pay for internet, and have to sit through the advertisements. 20? hahahahaha. for a month? wow.. I wish we would boycott them, but apparently some people think that is a good deal or something. Here's to paying in the future. btw these korean vods have much better observers. I prefer them to watching tasteless be a "charismatic" child. #2 Game 2 of tester vs zenith http://sc2.plu.cn/vod/gsl2010/1401.html with better observing, and the koreans casting for nostalgia #3 check my post. and I agree. first they'd need a quality product for me to consider paying them 20 dollars. and then I still wouldn't pay for it. and I have a job* #4 That's not the vod they're charging money for. Some of us don't care about hearing people speak English. We never did for the original BW vods either. Take it up with the people who uploaded the videos on youku. It's not TL's responsibility.

If you don't like what Gretech does, don't watch. If you do watch, don't pretend that because you don't like Gretech's policies it's ok. You don't deserve to pirate, if you do do it somewhere else; no one's going to chase you.

I'm sure plenty of people would invite a discussion about the game, but frankly, the games we saw were rather uninteresting (other than the amateur production behind them, which is amazing considering the prize pool and they expect people to pay for the service!) Who pirated anything?

more direct approach would be bitching at gomtv.net forum. they can actually respond. TLers can't.
