If you need them to rebuild the layout for a German keyboard, you can use my German version. Otherwise, look here for the original setup and at the bottom of the orignal post for recent changes to the original setup in the changelog.

@Jakatak: I will try to do it for the other three layouts as well and add the Terran changes (overlooked them so far). Should not be too much work (but won't upload them until tomorrow, since I won't get home until then). The changelog is very helpful by the way.

Hey, I started using this a few days ago (master zerg) and I like it, just getting used to it now. I'm using the right handed no mouse version and I've noticed that overlord load is on '/' whereas generate creep is on '.' I would think that '/' is a lot easier to hit with the thumb so I've switched them, also ended up switching the warp prism transport mode because the UI was complaining about unbound keys and that seems to make sense as well as people don't really use load, afaik there's no reason to use it. it's like using the move command, it's kind of obsolete (medivac ended up switching heal and load although people don't use heal either but you're more likely to use it than load)

What do you think? Is there a reason that '/' is used for load as it is so easy to press? Do people use it?

Hi, started learning the new set up, on e the rh with mouse buttons, i need to change the cansle to left button but cant work out how, f5 is way to far away, left is way faster to hit and my fingers dont have to move off the keys, if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great

Also, burrow on ',' feels hard, which finger is supposed to be used, middle? I like having it on '#' since I feel like it's harder to curl fingers down than it is to reach up and obviously then I can burrow with my thumb

@bourkes Open the menu and press hotkeys, go into any of the races and select a unit/building, click the cancel option and then reassign the key. You might have to change a few under the global tab as well, just look for f5 and replace with your key

Does that mean it's incompatible? What's wrong with the long space?

Also, I had another 'also' Why are there 2 keys for borrow/unburrow. It sounded nice but when trying it, it seems that if you have a mix of burrowed and unburrowed units you cannot press the unburrow to unburrow, you only have the option to burrow the rest of the unburrowed units. The only time the unburrow option is enabled is when you have all burrowed units selected. Since there is only need for 1 key which should it be? I'm not a fan of ',' as I said earlier. '8' is cool and '#' seems to be okay, I'm not really used to either enough to comment, maybe they're as good. I guess if infestors are on 'L' you will be burrowing them a lot and '8' or '#' work with them. Main army being on '9' could be used or any of the harass groups I guess. I think maybe '#' would be better but idk

@vangarde You should take a look at the info section of my Twitch Page This is the system I use to teach mechanics in Sc2. Very much like your tier system, but more detailed. I would strongly suggest giving it a try :D

@zombie The artwork is out of my hands. For now, you'll have to download the files and look at the Data Document for how we suggest using your control groups. Shiny new artwork for all versions will be created for the full release, but since there are so many changes in the beta stages, it would be a waste of time to keep making new artwork for every change

@Quaterno The load button is used pretty extensively by the Terran pros. (Look at the Data Document) Because this is for random players we had to make compromises, however, I am considering keeping this one on the race specific versions as well, because I can't see why a terran could make use of load while a zerg or protoss could not. Any ideas?

@Czar You have 2 options with that keyboard to use this layout.
1: press / and . with your index finger
2: press / and . with your thumb

I play lefty and press X with my thumb and have absolutely no problem, however, if this uncomfortable for you, pressing it with your index finger should be fine.

"," was never meant to be pressed with the thumb. Just / and .

I haven't tested the new version yet because I'm at work. I'm wondering why the evo chamber upgrades are a little different than the spire upgrades. I think it would make sense to have carapace as / and attack as "I" melee and J ranged

I have a suggestion:

How about a layout where your fingers are on jkl; with your thumb in the void of the two keys you took out? Personally I find it a lot easier to reach up for a key then down. You could angle your hand such that space would be hit by the area where your pinky connects to your hand (I have no idea what it is called).
Team Liquid needs more Terrans.

The top of your fifth metacarpal.

Just imagining the motion of hitting space bar with the thick part of that bone, I feel like it would be hard to coordinate with other key presses. You basically have to fully extend all four fingers to precisely hit the space bar which would force you to relocate your fingers back to the home keys.

I haven't tried this yet, mind you

I don't know, after trying it ~10-15 times, the only finger that comes off the keyboard at all is my thumb because I just twist my wrist. You would turn your keyboard so when your fingers are sitting on jkl; your thumb would be sitting between windows key and they key left of the control button.

I'm not a big fan of the camera changes. It's so easy to misclick and accidentally change the control groups on O and P and ;.

Hey all, just downloaded this for the first time and I've only played 4 games with it, so I'm not used it to it all, but I would like to just say a really big thanks. This layout is pure genius, and I'm really excited to be able to play it once I become fluent and adapt myself to this layout.

Please list the changes in the new patch for those of us on different keyboards who cant download and use the preset ones, we need to go in and add patched changes ourselves through the changelog.
