Thanks so much. : )

Yes, if you click on the hotkey you can see what units they have on it - but if you press it you cant.
Are you sure, I just tried it and it didn't work. Hopefully I'm wrong. You mean by using my mouse to click on the hotkeyicon right? Doesnt seem to work
Go to the options menu -> gameplay tab and make sure where it says "Control Groups" under "User Interface" is set to Normal. That's assuming you're on english client but I'm sure you'll figure it out if not. : )
I remember while watching the GSL Artosis shed some light on this. Basically you're right, it is just to throw off the scouting read and mess with your opponent.

I actually felt the same, but the build was suggested to me earlier in this thread and after trying it I've found that speed only comes a few seconds later, but the earlier Queen and Lings can make defending early pools slightly easier. More importantly though I've found that getting them out to scout slightly earlier can help pick up on things like Speedling all in's or Ling/Bling all in - both of which seem far more common at low levels and the person I was replying to was asking for a safe build for every race at Silver so I was erring on the safe side.
The difference really is only a couple of seconds, and whilst I know that is a lot when timings are down to the second, I just feel that if you're going to be going 14/14 anyway, the difference isn't that huge. I certainly wouldn't try to suggest 14/14 pool first on every single map vs every opponent though, but if I'm only giving one build, that's the one I'd give for safety.
If people think I'm actually just wrong though I'd happily apologise and edit my original message.
This isn't really strategy, but does anyone know how to have your in-game mouse cursor invert colors when you click? I've seen it on a lot of streams..

Thanks for confirming, and I'm glad I guessed right. : )
Also thanks to vorxaw for the compliment. ^^
Edit: Again, I should answer a question while I'm here.

Nestea's the obvious answer. But Losira and Coca are also really great at ZvP. For foreigners, Stephano is pretty well known for his ZvP, as is Sheth.
How the hell do i beat cannon contains? I keep getting cannoned up at my natural despite going 14 pool and then i am so far behind as i can't expand, he gets his expo up, cant nydus him as he is prepared for it, mutas are too late and too few... Lings are too late to stop it, even scouting it immediately and pulling drones is not working. I'm high diamond.

It's just the stream program glitching out. It doesn't look that way to the actual streamer, just everyone watching.

Anytime you go mega-roach heavy in any matchup, the regen bonus alone is incentive enough for tunneling claws. More specifically, in mid-game ZvP where you have nothing else to deal with FFs (baneling bombs, infestors, mutas etc.) or infestor wars ZvZ where faster between battle regen becomes the difference while waiting for infestor energy/re-enforcement to come back up.

Do you have a replay? Generally the best thing to do is be prepared to pull a drone as soon as the probe comes in overlord vision and stop the pylon wall from going down. Also, from this thread.
This video is kinda sloppy, but the general idea is Shift+Click the pylon, then mineral patch on the other side, repeat. This stacks your drones to where they all attack the same pylon at once, dealing around 60 damage per second.

Unfortunately Drone Drill was patched out and no longer works. *grumbles something about Blizzard removing a micro fix to a fault in their design and walks off.*
My bonus pool is stuck at 161 and on playing matches it doesn't award anything from there. I don't want to make a thread because I have heard of this before but is there a fix?

I thought the numbers worked out to be 5, but according to Liquipedia it's 6.
For example, a critical mass of six sentries regenerate energy quickly enough to keep a small ramp or choke that is small enough continually blocked with Force Fields.

Some dude said it was a streaming program glitch, but it's not, it's a feature. "Invert mouse when clicked" or something of the like.
One thing I never understood was this: People always say to analyze your losses, watch the replays to see where you went wrong, etc. However, why does no one recommend watching your wins? If you won, and it wasn't a fluke or something -- isn't it just as important to analyze what you did RIGHT, take down mental notes for the future, and continue on? I mean clearly not every win should be analyzed, but in a nice lengthy game where a lot of things went back and forth, I would think it would be worth it to look at what you did right and wrong despite winning to build on that.
It's not exactly a question, but I would like a bit of an answer!

I make worker first. Seems to be more efficient. I have the cursor over the center of the screen before anything appears, as soon as it shows i click CC+make scv while my cursor is traveling to the scv area., then split scv, then hotkey stuff This is also good for later if you want to do a fancier split than the 3/3, which may take more time.
