The units aren't as good as they could be. And there was absolutely no reason for changing it. We've talked about it in the thread before. Oh and Laertes. Get on NA so we can play! ![]() | ||

We've talked about it in the thread before. Well thats the point :p The reason is to make a clump of tightly packed ranged units be less effective. If they have a bit shorter attack range, your balls of ranged units can´t instantly kill the melee units that engages them. This was the case before, where balls of stalkers, hydras and marines could evaporate anything that came close. The only way to stop it was AoE or your own clump of ranged units. So far I actually think this works good. But I won´t make myself impossible. If we continue play it and find out that it is a bad change for various reasons, I will revert them. | ||

First of all, Terran and Zerg have their macro mechanics removed (MULE/Larva inject). But protoss still has chrono boost. I don't really get it. I can pretty much six gate all the time from 1 gate FE on one gas geyser and almost always with against Terran and Zerg. You either want to remove chrono boost or make it not work on nexus. Also, about zerg. Dark Swarm+ Frenzy on crackling/ultra works damn too well. If zerg is capable of microing properly, this combination will almost always win. You can leave Dark Swarm as it is, but Frenzy is too good in my opinion. Make it 50% damage instead of 100%. Thats all I can say for now, need to face better opponents and try out new strategies/combo in order to give more feedback. | ||

Terran can Calldown SCV, Protoss can chrono boost their Nexus and Zerg has larvas as usual. Nothing gives them free money. But all races have the option to invest in more economy via the macro abilities. Besides this, Terran build army like before. Zerg needs more hatcheries now instead of Queens with Inject. The reason is that larva management was one of the funnier parts of brood war. You could not bank up loads of larvas and instantly replenish your army. You had to do it step by step, by spending your current larvas on units, wait for them to replenish, spend the larvas again etc. Instead Queens will now focus on spreading the creep, which hopefully plays a bigger role now. Protoss has still chrono boost because that is an interesting ability that adds something unique to Protoss. | ||

Lurkers on Hive tech was a bug. In SC2 that is the standard. Missed to change that to lair. Sending the update to Laertes now | ||
