I didn't want to repost, but I was still wondering if anyone from TPW saw my post regarding a certain map.

My question is for the TPW team. Can you guys possibly publish "Emerald Jungle" for the North American server again? I can't seem to find it anymore and I loved the asthetics. If you can't, no big deal, I just really enjoyed the map.

Q: Is it possible to move terrain? Cut and paste, instead of copy and paste. My map is off-center on the grid pretty much, and I would like to fix it is there a way?

Not as far as I know. You´ll need to copy paste it into the right position.

Go to Player properties -> Advanced Team placement.

In the pop out window you can select a spawning position on the left side. On the right side you can mark the possible spawning positions for your enemy. If you for example select the spawning position on the bottom left (on the right side of the popup) you should mark the opposite (top right) spawning position for your enemy. If you would want all spawns but horizontal spawns enabled you have to mark the top right and top left spawning position on the right side of the popup.

Oh gosh, hope I'm not flamed for this. My simple question is where can I get 'quintessential' map packs? If tournament maps are not available for download, where can one obtain them?

1) I'm super new to map editing, but I was wondering, how do I choose the height of terrain that I want to make? When I use the raise tool, it just keeps raising it until I let go, but I don't see how to really conrol the height ie. I want the height of mutliple platforms to be 5 (arbitrary number).

2) How do I measure the size of a platform? This is in reference to making uniform starting platforms.

Usually you don´t use the height tools at all for melee maps, unless you are doing some weird experiments.

Instead you should use the cliff tool to raise starting platforms. This tool raises the ground in only two steps you won´t have to worry about height. To make a good melee map you should create 1/2 of the map and then mirror it. You mirror a part of terrain by selecting the ground you want to mirror, press crtl + c, rotate it with the [*] key of your num block or flip it with [alt] + [.] and then crtl + v to paste it.

I think there are many ways to measure the size of things in the editor but I usually use the grid activated by strg shift + h.

I don´t know if there is an easier way to do it but I usually just draw two diagonal streets across the whole map and the intersection is the center...

Ye iv'e been doing like that to, but with everything the editor can do u would think there is something to mark the center :/ I'll keep looking and let u know when/if i find something

1. How can I make it so a unit has a white square in the selection card, denoting him as a hero? I can make his portrait appear above the command buttons, but not this.

2. I use the campaign dependencies to gain access to certain stuff I need for my maps, but this alters certain things, specifically upgrades. In the campaign, stim packs, etc. is researched at the Hyperion, but I want them to be researched at the regular location, more specifically the tech lab. However, if you do research it there, the marine won't have it.

3. Can I remove certain responses to a unit? I'm using Nova as a unit, but I don't want here to say "Nova here", as she has a different name in my map.

EDIT: Found out #3 on my own.

Hi my simple question has nothing to do with editing, but how to download the maps themself.

For example the map galapagos is released in eu. Where do i have to search for it in sc2? I tried anything that came to my mind, but i couldn't find the map

Do you want to play or to edit the map? To play it you should just search in the custom game lobby. To edit, well, I suppose the map is locked.
