HotS has the advantage of being played by not top tier players so strats and build orders are materializing slower so I think there's a lot more of just going with a gut feeling in certain situations which can lead itself to more entertaining play. Also WoL having many stagnant match ups doesn't help.

I think it has, so much new stuff, many match-ups look much more exciting right now and with the metagame developing I'm sure new interesting stuff will keep popping up for at least a few months to come.

haven't seen many new things to be honest. deathball appears to be still there and the new units are either overused or underused

I've been enjoying HotS so far because there is more variety in mid-game compositions and has less of that late-game deathball syndrome that ruined WoL's entertainment factor. There still is a degree of fixing needed in balancing, but so far, HotS has been a great breath fresh of air in the game. It still is too early to make a judgement, but I'm liking it so far.

It was certainly a lot more fun - just that it looks like there are a LOT more viable unit compositions from either old or new units. I just hope this variety continues, I don't want players to find an overpowered combination of just 2 or 3 units.

Dear god yes. Yeah I know, try not to get too giddy, remember WoL once looked like it had a bright future too with 2011 ZvT and bearable ZvP. Then 2012 happened, where I feel that the only match ups that aged well were TvT and ZvZ (haters gonna hate) . ZvZ in particular found itself significantly better than from where it started.

Still though, I'm optimistic that 2-3 years from now when LotV is around the corner HotS won't have fallen to the degree that WoL did. I just feel like the tools have been set in place to make HotS a more challenging game with less turtling and actual action in the early stages of the game instead of NR 8-10 min. Death balls are still here though :/

not enought information cause there is still many questions about balance of matchups after release we will be more clever about this topic.....

Yes, I think so under the parameters of the question (in which the "Not enough information" answer is a cop out). We definitily see exciting and more diverse game play, additionally we see more abilities, which raises the skill ceiling.

Zerg feels more like the race should (in my opinion), we get to see Hydras, and they have nice synergy with the Viper. I suspect we will get to see some awesome re-maxing armies in late games, rather than just "super" armies.

Terran are just pretty cool, I really like how creative the Widowmines allow players to be. Making mech more viable is pretty cool, I just hope they don't end up forcing bio out completely.

Protoss is just simply more fun now, the Forge fast expand isn't fun compared to the Gateway expand. Sky-toss is awesome (maybe too awesome), and I think the Oracle will be quite influential once players get good with them and we get out of the "blind-counter" phase.

What is this question...
It's a new game, so of course it will be fun to see new units being used. What does it mean for it to be "more entertaining" than the past 3 years of WoL?

Of course the strategies aren't as fine tuned yet, so maybe the quality of play isn't as high. But in terms of enjoyment, its certainly been entertaining to watch.

So far the few compteitive tournaments I've seen (most notably the GD Studio KOTH series) have been amazing, but I'm not sure if it's just because it's all new. Let's wait a while (like 18 months) see meta-games come and go and then start making opinions. Also PvP is crazy at the moment, if both players go mass air late game it becomes a complete clusterfuck of 'what the hell is going on?'.

Wol was very entertaining in 2010/2011, it's just lately (past year) where everything started to stagnant, become very turtley and whatnot. I think right now Hots IS more entertaining, but I'm not sure if it's going to remain, so I voted not enough info

It looks great so far, but there are still some perceived imbalances that the top players (preferrably not Blizzard) will need to figure out before I can decide. Skytoss isn't really that much fun to watch, but the Zerg match-ups seem significantly improved and the TvT we saw between jjakji and Dream has me thinking the mirrors (PvP included) will look a lot better, too.

HotS is still young, at the same stage of the game for WoL, it had just as much variance in builds.

As HotS ages, machups will solidify, just as had happened in WoL.

Within the WoL metagame, the Kespa pros still manage to be much more entertaining in their play than any other pro scene.

HotS seems ok but its just gonna turn into build order wins for the first year of its metagame,

Overall about even right now. Some of the matchups are much better (PvZ) and some of the matchups are much worse (TvZ). Overall it's more exciting and action packed, but thusly also harder to follow. Despite all that, I voted 'not enough information'. Wait for the next couple of big patches and for everyone to switch, then we'll see what's going on with it.
