Flash is the reigning OSL champion and MSL finalist (plus awesome preformance in WL including SKT all-kill and Samsung 3 kill), he deserves a fuckton of benefit of doubt. No matter what happens, Light should not be able to take Flash't place. Yes, Flash should still be nr.1. He is the OSL champ, MSL finalist, sick performance in PL AND WL. Light still got something to prove. Can he go far in individual leagues? Will he be able to show the same results when we return to PL format? Is he consistent?

This is Monthly Power Rank and what matters is who's hot Right Now. To Flash's fans dismay, OSL&MSL finals were months ago. February and March are all about Proleague and who's shines there (and Light is already qualified in at least on of the individual leagues anyway). It wouldn't make sense, if one of the most impressive prolegue performance of all time, and arguably one of the greatest MVPs right now, won't get first place in Power Rank

Flash is the best player right now and he's showing it every game. He's playing like a bonjwa and coming from two SL finals which matters. If flash had a mediocre month I'd gladly see him drop. Its the first time in history where someone is above 2400 ELO and he keeps winning, so it wouldn't make sense if he didn't get the first place in Power Rank.

Also, Flash's performance in WL has been every bit as impressive as Light's. Light has more wins, true, but he also has more losses and a worse winrate. He has gotten more chances of getting wins because he's been sent out in every match, whereas Flash did for instance not even get to play vs ACE (and we all know he would've all-killed them for sure just like Light did). He also missed out on playing vs Estro, another team that Light got 4 wins against. Flash has only lost against Leta (who also beat Light), M18M (lost to a ridiculously abusive and lucky build, after killing FBH, Jangbi and Stork (Light lost against Jangbi after only killing FBH)) and Skyhigh (after 2 kills, one of which was against Snow who happened to beat Light 2 weeks later). Light has been amazing and deserves to climb a lot (quite possibly to No2), but to say he should suddenly be ahead of Flash, whose ELO is 160 above the aforementioned and who is coming from a season of unprecedented dominance both in PL and the Starleagues while showing no sign of stopping, is quite silly and absurd. Light has a lot more to prove than Flash in terms of consictency and Starleague performance.

Inability to perform in the individual leagues for example matters a fuckton, and the fact that Flash raped everyone and reached both finals 2 months ago (and he's showing no sign of getting any worse) combined with having Light's complete failure against Kwanro in MSL in fresh memory makes it hard for me to believe that Light would stand a chance against Flash in a OSL Bo5 (which, IMO, is a great way to determine the PR). So called ''benefit of doubt'' favours Flash a lot here. Indeed, I don't understand why Flash anti-fans seem to enjoy arbitrarily gerrymandering the results (i.e., last month does/doesn't count or the month before last does/doesn't count) to dethrone him from the Power Rank. They've done it every single month. Light has truly been amazingly hot in Winner's League, going 24-6, while Flash has gone 16-3. The fact of the matter, though, is that Flash has attained an unprecedented level of dominance and maintained it for months on end. "Benefit of doubt" doesn't even begin to cover it, and you don't even have to be a fanboy to properly give him his due. That said, so too must Light be given his due. He's definitely earned it.

Previous power rankings have Sea, Leta, Effort as #1, even if Jaedong/Flash/Bisu were clearly favorites in a series

In the few months before he popped up, Leta played ridiculously good Starcraft. He's since ceased to play ridiculously good starcraft on a consistent level, but in those few months he was a ridiculous force. Even now, when he removes his head from his ass, he's capable of some pretty wonderful things.

Leta on next month PR as well, he has done a great job all-killing a 9-0 team with Flash.

Also, Light is playing really well and given Jaedong's worst performance this month should be probably 2nd but unless Flash starts losing left and right and Light keep winning and qualify for OSL (he is only in MSL so far) there shouldn't be any doubt who deserves no1.

Oh yeah and he just broke the Elo ranking like mercury bursting a thermometer. How can anyone think someone besides him deserves #1 right now?
