WL:
Jaedong Movie Snow Hyuk Bisu Fantasy Best Jangbi Firebathero Stork Kwanro Roro Baby Shuttle Kal Calm
Bolded high tier opponents (for the match up atleast), underlined and bolded top tier opponents, underlined, bolded, and italicized Jaedong. he's not only got a monster winrate, but he's got a monster winrate against every goddamn player you could think to throw at him with the exception of Zero who he hasn't played. Effort and Leta beat many high tier opponents during their crazy win streaks too. That post was just your inner Flash fanboy speaking. :p
They both have some wins over top opponents but, take Effort for instance. He has, in his most dominant time (basically before he lost to Iron), A win against Flash, Jaedong, Free, Hiya, Stork -- all good players, but aside from those five he doesn't really have anyone of note besides maaaybe Luxury and Mind. His wins after that get comprised of dudes like Ruby, July, Doctor K, Great, Hyvaa, Sangho, Lucifer etc. The vast majority of Effort's wins in that 26-3 period were against second and third tier competition.
MOST of Flash's games are against good players, and a few against the best players. I'm not too familiar with Leta's dominating run, though I remember him beating Flash in the MSL (with some swanky cheese).

Effort had a streak, Leta had one too.
Flash's carreer is a winstreak.

Prediction for next month: Baby gets a promotion, Jaedong drops out of top 3.

Flash's reign as bonjwa sure is getting closer and closer. JD has been shit (by his standards) in WL. It's been excusable though, because we all knew JD tends to has a semi-slump when there's no Starleague action going on and that he would be back to rape everyone (except Flash) in OSL. Now he's knocked out in the Ro36. No ''luckbased'' ZvZ or anything either, he just got outplayed by Baby. It's very sad, JD and Flash were supposed to meet in the finals. Now, with both Bisu and JD down, the only one who I feel has a realistic chance to take a series against Flash and prevent him from getting his golden mouse is Stork (maybe Power Outage as well). On the other hand; I was very wrong about JD raping Baby, so anything might happen I guess.
138 ELO poinst ahead of #2 WTF!?!?!? How is this possible? O_o

Zero and Stork both have a perfectly passable chance against Flash. Not favored, not even particularly good, but they could beat him and it wouldn't be a huge shock.
As stupid as it sounds, Kwanro could beat Flash too because Kwanro always attacks during the one window of the game where Flash is at his weakest.

In-form Effort can easily beat Flash too.

Not easily.
Last summer when Flash was against Effort in the group stages of the OSL we saw Effort at his absolute peak against a slumping Flash (by his standards) and it was pretty even.
I think that Effort playing at his best against the current Flash would be close, but Flash has the definite edge.

Er, the game where Flash BBSed him because he was already eliminated no matter what?

I think he meant the ace game on HBR.
And yeah I take the "easily" back, no one can beat Flash easily.

Ah, sorry. I was thinking of the Pro League game on HBR. I was in China and had trouble watching the games, so I must have seen the wrong game at the wrong time. This is the game I was thinking of.
Edit: Sorry for the youtube, the VOD is hosted here if anyone missed it. It was worth watching Effort play Zerg in the late game.

it's just ridiculous. flash hasn't lost to a zerg in PL or WL since hyun in 2009; his SL performance since then is 2-1 against zero, 3-1 against calm, 3-1 against kwanro, 3-3 against jaedong and that under highly questionable circumstances. anybody who thinks that effort at his relatively unremarkable peak would be anything but an underdog is ridiculous

This is it. If Flash cannot win both leagues now, he'll never be bonjwa. And this is the official beginning of the Dongslump. As much as I had dreaded this day, and it feels like the passing of an age, I am oddly unaffected by it.
At least I have expectations for the Dong in the upcoming MSL. I'll be pleasantly surprised if he wins it. Also, I don't think he'll make it into the 2300 ELO again.
I fervently hope I am wrong, because the Dong plays the most difficult race (according to Flash), against some pretty big physical disadvantages (his small hands, according to Flash), and when the end of dominance comes, it comes really swift. (Look at Savior).
