Endgame
The Basics
- There are 9 players
- At the start of the game, three players are randomly selected by the hosts to be the Spies(Mafia). The rest of the players are known as the Resistance(Town).
- The Spies know who the other spies are but the Resistance does not know who is part of the Resistance.
- A mission leader is randomly selected amongst the group of players. A line of players to succeed the mission leader is also randomized and made public.
- The objective for the Resistance is to complete 3 missions. The objective of the Spies is to sabotage 3 missions. Missions can only succeed or fail so the game is over within 5 missions.
Core Gameplay
Day Phase
Every round, the mission leader selects a set amount people to conduct a mission(Hosts will specify). The mission leader can select himself for this trip. Everyone votes on whether they accept or reject the proposed team. All players must type ##vote: Yay or ##vote: Nay in the Team thread when a team is being voted on. If it is rejected then the next player in line becomes leader and gets to suggest his own team. This process repeats itself until a mission is accepted, moving everyone immediately into night phase.
Night Phase
During the night phase, the Spies who are sent on the mission must send PMs to the hosts declaring whether they help or sabotage the mission. The Resistance may only aid the mission therefore those players do not have to send any PMs to the hosts. If enough spies sabotage, then the mission fails (1 sabotage is required on most days, 2 on day 4). After the night phase, a new day phase begins, with the next player in line for leader suggesting a new team of 3 players to conduct a new mission.
Time Cycle
This game will follow a 72 hour nightless cycle. However, each new leader is guaranteed 24 hours to post his team, and a further 24 hours during which the team will be voted on. A leader who doesn't suggest a team within 24 hours will be skipped and receive a warning. If the 4th suggested team is rejected, the 5th team suggested team will automatically be vetted and we will immediately move into night phase. Currently the deadline is 20:00 PST, but that is subject to change.
