The leader selecting 4 players on D3 and 4 is a mechanic of the game and must be included.
Edit: The idea is that it increases the risk of sending the same successful team throughout the game, forcing the leaders to consider other players that haven't been on successful missions.

What do you suggest for day 5? I'm curious why the hosts of Resistance 2 did it differently from the Wikipedia reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Resistance_(game), which recommends 3,4,4,5,5 for each consecutive day, respectively.

In that case, also 5 members on D5?

Maybe 3-4-4-5-5 is prudent after all, since Resistance 2 ended up having a tight group of "trusted" people with 3-3-4-4-5 setup.

Damn this actually looks like a great deal of fun. Can't play for a little while though. Have fun!

Because that would be too heavily spy favored imo on this medium. Forum is a little different from the standard face to face game. Ray was saying he plays it regularly IRL I'd like his opinion on the fifth day I guess.

I'm afraid it may be too difficult for town to narrow down the Spies if we do that. Maybe I can do 3-4-4-5-5 and require 2 sabotages for Day 4 and Day 5?

hi.
That was done to make the game a little easier since the spy team wrecked resistance 1, since everyone was so lost.
Read the pre-game chatter in Tunnel rats, lots of confusion about the first game, what they we're meant to be doing ect.

Do you have any suggestions for the # of people sent per day?

I think the set up used on omgus was fine. The players were shit but the general set up worked for me.

This game is fucking awesome!

This rule:
If the 4th suggested team is rejected, the 5th team suggested team will automatically be vetted and we will immediately move into night phase. Isn't it supposed to be: "In case the proposed team gets rejected 5 times in a row spies automatically win the mission"?
|
yep. spies win the mission if 5 rejections. generally 5th everyone votes yes no matter what but its still supposed to be a spy win if rejected.

Also as someone said the idea is to raise the bar in every mission barring 2->3. Usually the game is REALLY close even if one team ends up winning 3-0. You can't put 2 sabotages to the last mission because in case town wins missions 1 and 2, spies win 3 and 4 - town then knows 2 spies amongst the 5, they pick the rest 4 and strongest town read and easy win.
It has to be the setup i just said (for 9players). Anything else is unfair to one of the sides.
